Water Strider Discussion

They do and they will, and in the future if mount equipment allows for gathering while mounted, the same will occur with the sky golem.

It does matter. And there are consequences.

Correct, and people spent a ton of gold buying that mount when it first came out will be upset, as will people who sell the mount as it still sells for a decent price.

But that is ok right? People working for items because those items do specific things deserve to be disappointed.

If this thread is our home, you keep barging in without a key, so letā€™s not rail on those who continue to read this thread, hoping to see that bliz came to their senses. Youā€™re here just as often. Iā€™ve been here from the beginning of this post, and can clearly see that the majority bothering to comment clearly donā€™t like this.

I also note that since you pretend to not even want to use the strider, you have an awful lot to say about defending the change to it, yet you say nothing about the golem.
Yaknowā€¦that golem that is having itā€™s ability left alone. The golem that wonā€™t have a slot for change. Why donā€™t you quit wearing a path in the strider-rug, and switch over to the equally unpopular defense, of breaking that mountā€™s ability?

I have the strider, but I have also lived long enough to know that things change. This game has changed. I have lost abilities, the chance at mounts, armor and more as things have either changed or been removed. So, while I have the strider too (check my reputations and such), it does not matter to me that it is changing. Itā€™s not worth all this energy and anger and emotion that a pretend video game creature now falls into water if bumped. Itā€™s fine, and it will change, and you may not even notice or maybe you will feel suicidal every time you have to put inflatable boots into your mount slot. Itā€™s ok that life is not fair. Learn to accept change and move on, thatā€™s all you can do, otherwise, you waste your precious time and achieve nothing but negativity.

Basically, Iā€™m done here. I posted today to give a friendly headā€™s up that MoP Timewalking is going on and people might want to take advantage- what a dumb idea. You guys can have this thread. Hope itā€™s as productive as the high elf one.

Lesson learned. Do not bother farming for special items for it is a waste of your time and in the end you will be disappointed.

Why would anyone want to bother with MoP timewalking? For a piece of normal BoD gear thatā€™s 15 ilevels below what they can get from warfronts/worldbosses? For rep tokens so they could by a soon-to-be-worthless water strider? Pfff.

And sure, youā€™re gone for now, but trolls canā€™t keep away from an open flame for long. Youā€™ll be back.

100+ posts in the topic. ā€œno horse in the raceā€ btw.

Iā€™m just waiting for the ā€œmount equipment is garbageā€ threads to start up once this hits live. Because you know people arenā€™t going to be happy when they hop off a bridge or rock into water, take a microscopic bit of damage, and have to remount.

Heck, I take falling damage just dismounting from my Mighty Caravan Brutosaur!

Any word or clarification on future plans? I think this system would receive far better reception if you could guarantee us that we wonā€™t suddenly lose the ability to water walk when the new expansion comes out. OR that if you DO legacy these mount equipments, you will restore the water striders ability.

Millions of people have unsubbed. The response to declining subscriptions was twofold:

  1. Introduce a 6 month Dreadwake flying mount bonus;

  2. Double down on all the stupid decisions.

If subscriptions were dying, why would you ever consider removing and removing and removing things. It is like they are doubling down on bad stuff, as they know that the people that remain will accept lower quality garbage and keep giving them money.

People are trying to urge them to change their minds, but loads more are just leaving without a word.

I have to admit I dont think this guy is a blizzard employee. When you call those out or disagee with them you get banned. And not like 10 hours later either. Within 5 minutes. Go ahead. Ask me how I know.

I havent been banned for disagreeing with Zulzamba yet. Maybe he really is a poor misguided soul and not dishonest dev pretending to be a player.

Metrohaha is not a Blizzard employee.
Being a green is a volunteer position, though Iā€™m guessing they get something out of it.

There have been some really good greens, but the ones who treat players with respect and courtesy donā€™t seem to last.

If you are actively playing 49 other characters. Then this might be a shocker, but you are an outlier that they donā€™t balance or make changes around.

I have quite a few Druids but use the Water Strider instead of swim formā€¦I donā€™t really like swim form unless I am diving deep in sea or ocean for something I found down thereā€¦leave my Water Striders aloneā€¦I worked for both of them.

It is in reply to the poster that is quoted as saying they donā€™t care for the strider because all they play is druid and they use swim. Iā€™m not saying druidā€™s SHOULDNā€™T care, just that the particular poster has already explained a specific reason that they donā€™t care for the strider.

They will never answer this question, if the truth came out the up roar would even be bigger. It will be gated with pathfinder in the future, they will say they are not planning on it but it will happen. If we have to stop every couple minutes and remount just think of all the extra time played to get where we want to go, it adds up.

Every time they lose subs they do something or make something take longer to make up the timed played they lost. It seems like every decision recently has been something small to make us play for few minutes longer each time we log in.

The only thing I can think of is they see people leaving and wonder why they donā€™t like the game anymore. They then think of something THEY donā€™t like, determine that must be the cause and remove it from the game. Youā€™d think eventually theyā€™d realize those choices are not having the intended effect and change course. However, it is difficult for people to admit when they are wrong.
