May I join you?
Of course!
Happily sets a second place at the tea-table!
So true. So sad.
All I can say here is that Iāve enjoyed watching you flip your hair and also enjoyed the fact that Iām too short to get hit by any of it.
Iāll repost the link for you:
I agree with what this person says, especially this part: "Yet here they are, removing some of the most personal parts of the game for many players ā the way we travel throughout Azeroth. "
This is why I am posting in this and the portal discussion threads. I have spent countless hours with my friend exploring this world they built for us. I still remember exploring the oceans around Pandaria when I first got my strider, thinking how cool it was to be able to go where I could not easily have gone before.
In every xpac since MOP, my friend and I have done the same thing. We have taken our striders out to the ocean and explored. We have gone all the way out to the fatigue zone and viewed the wonderful world they designed for us.
It is sad to see that part of this game going away, for it was my favorite part of this game. It made all the work I did worth it, and it gave me an escape from my stressful life.
Will the removal of the striderās water-walking be the final straw for me? Probably not, simply because I still have friends who play this game.
However, I have noticed that they, like me have stopped logging in as much as they have in the past. I know that when they are gone, I will be gone as well, because it is no fun to play a game like this alone.
Well, thank goodness for that!
Gives an exceptionally exuberant hair-flip; knowing that he wonāt be clobbering anyone with it!
Thatās not what im saying at all. All i have said it that you were rewarded with doing the rep grind. You got 6 years out of a waterwalking mount, and 40g. Thatās all ive said. Thatās all i have been saying. You need to work on your reading comprehension.
I say it here. PAY ATTENTION BEFORE MISREPRESENTING MY ARGUEMENT, AND ASSIGNING ME AN ARGUEMENT I DIDNT MAKE. For people to say, āI get rewarded for doing this rep grind with 40gā and completely deny the fact they had a mount that water walked for 6 years, is ridiculous. THATāS ALL I HAVE SAID. You need to work on your reading skills. But youāll probably just blabber on and strawman me some more.
this article is excellent. this is exactly how I feel.
Will I quit over this one thing? No. Am I considering because of the culmination of a bunch of little and big things? Yes
Iāve played for 10.5 years with zero breaks in subscription. The only time I donāt play is if Iām out of town.
Iām retired so I play a lot.
Except right now. I havenāt logged into the game since Saturday and I am in town. This has never happened in over 10 yrs of subscription. The announcement of this fabulous mount equipment c r a p that is going to destroy the special ability on 2 of my mounts that I put in the time to get has finally make say Hmmmm.
Iām tired of blizzardās ādonāt you guys have phonesā attitude. A CM asking how much weād be willing to pay for water shoes and how often do we REALLY use that mount is just insulting. Blizzard is so out of touch.
Iām willing to pay zero. I ride mine every day because I canāt fly over water.
So yeah, this may be the straw.
I see no point to going after anything.
I have 14,000+ achievement points that used to be more but blizzard took them away because they changed an achievement or turned it into something else.
Iām 66. I donāt raid anymore or do PVP because my hands are not as fast as they used to be. So I do things I can do without dragging a team down. But I was having fun most of the time going after things I could do.
But I am not mostly having fun anymore. Iām tired of having things taken away that Iāve earned over the my time playing.
So yeah, it is getting close.
They took something we use situationally and they are forcing us to put it on all the time or have to pull out 1k per swap (thatās with the water walking shoes being 3 copper, your still paying for the other equipment.)
performs her own hair flip, gets bopped in the eye by pigtail
Mumbles to self. āSo thatās why heās wearing gogglesā¦ā
But it is a cute purple pigtail!
You seem to have lost your newly founded friend from earlier
sips tea
Oh dear!
Ok, girls! Likeā¦THISā¦!
FLIPS hair!
Hmm?
Oh, her; I think the school bell rang for recess or something.
Flips hair exquisitely
Ah yes, a whopping 40g for an account bound item to apply water walking. Something doing a single world quest right now allows someone to buy 3-5 of them. All those people freaking out about having to pay for it were totally justified. Oh wait, they werenāt. They were crying over something ridiculously trivial.
Have you discovered the underwater murloc pubs?
There is one off the coast of Drustvar.
I sympathise about the dwindling friends list. Friends are what make a game great.
I believe the reason so many long for classic is not so much the game, but the friendships they remember. But perhaps the set-up will prove conducive to making friends again.
Except thatās not at all what many of us are complaining about. Nice strawman, though. D- for effort.
Oh yes! We have visited and drank at all of the underwater bars! We have swam with the big turtles and we have wondered about all of the ruins out there in the ocean. Had it not been for the strider, we never would have gone out there at all.
I agree with this. I saw it when I played the demo. People were in the general chat talking about the good ole days and how much of a community it was. They also included me (a cata baby) in the stuff they did. I could tell that they were enjoying being back in vanilla, not for the content but for the memories they could share with each other.
You quoted me talking about people complaining about paying for it and then say you werenāt one of those people. You do realize that means if that wasnāt your complaint my comment wasnāt directed at you right? Youāre so defensive you have to get bent over something not even talking about you. Side note, thatās not a strawman. There were tons of people in this thread complaining about having to pay for something they have now before we knew how trivial the cost was going to be. Nice try though, D- for effort.
You are so old - youāre a whole year - or part of a year - older than me.
If only there was a cure for rheumatic hands and slowed down reflexes - and vision problems - Iād still be raiding too.
