ANYONE CAN EARN IT, how is anyone able to get it unfair…

I’m going to call shenanigans on this. There’s no reason it can’t provide a benefit. There are two ways that you could have Water Walking for any mount you want already in game. It’s two potions, neither of which are tricky or difficult to make.

A short period of time in Draenor doing some fishing and you’d have enough mats to make a boat load of those potions. If you don’t want to ride the Strider, or don’t want to farm it, that’s fine. Stop pretending it lets me do things that you can’t do otherwise, because it’s patently false.

please reiterate how you think a water walking mount isn’t overpowered in a game where movement is key to endgame content

this figures. They hated the water-walking ability and they wanted to get rid of it. So now they have figured out how to do so and make people believe they got something in return.

I don’t have the fishing profession, and even if I did, why force me to do content that I don’t want for a temporary effect that you can get permanently? I don’t think so

Personally, I feel that it’s unfair that anyone has farmed up the Sha of Anger mount. I can’t wait until that one gets nerfed and he drops a token so everyone can get the mount!

you’ve said this time and time again, and I’ve agreed with you time and time again, and that is BECAUSE it provides an advantage in areas of the game where it should not

Because you don’t want to earn or use the item that lets me do it permanently. If you don’t want to do any of the things that let you do it, why should I have mine taken away?

“Fairness” means we can both do it. We both have the opportunity to do it, so… it’s currently fair.

I’d be glad to do current endgame content to get a water walking mount if it were in balance with the water strider, but that’s not going to happen
You also have the opportunity to play a DK and never need the mount so with your logic I suggest you go do that
