it’s unfair that there are things that have nothing to do with pvp OR endgame pve that give substantial advantages
the pvp mounts don’t give you an advantage in achieving anything, your rep farm mount does give an advantage in pvp which is unfair
Which is why they disabled the water strider in PVP BGs.

How is it an advantage when the water walking doesnt work in pvp? If youre doing Pve, then just go get it, Timewalking Badges can get it to you in a few runs.

only Toxic one here is you, I have no issues with people having things I didn’t earn it’s part of the MMORPG system, I have no issue with not having raid mounts or rep mounts I have not earned, and I don’t hold it against others for having them or earned them, if I want it bad enough I’ll go and earn it…

while I agree with you on the races, I disagree with the mount and it’s odd to me that you have conflicting viewpoints
I was taking about the person you were responding to not you, I believe they should make the Strider like the golem.
gold is next to meaningless in this game, it takes no time doing any sort of content, farming, pve, pvp, hell even that disturbing gambling outside the AH to make 40 gold to pay that hefty price
but the op mount deserved the nerf

I’d prefer Blizzard ban the use of the word “toxic” on the forums as opposed to messing around with the way mounts work.

It’s my gold and I should not have to spend it on something I already have for free.

The lemon juice on top of the salt in the wound is that the waterwalking equipment is inferior to the waterwalking ability of the strider. It’s far more easily broken and harder to initiate.

AKSHOOOALLY. You can get an heirloom mount and ride at level one.
OMG BLIZZARD, people with alts can use a mount at level 1. Can we please get some kind of nerf to those, or give EVERYONE a mount at level 1? It’s so toxic that people have an heirloom achievement mount. It’s not faaaaaair!!!

IDK seems like a pretty cynical approach to me. Players have been making bogus claims about gating and ‘muh player engagement times’ that I’ve started tuning a ton of that out.
Give me all your gold then, I’ve never had more than 100k across all of my characters. The major gold sinks are all lightyears beyond my reach.

It seems like you are waiting for vanilla, which will not have a water strider btw, and I am glad a lot of the base will retreat to that game which I will not take part in
exactly that is what a nerf is, would you prefer all of our armor be indestructible by default to get rid of repair prices as well?
Oh you mean like they did to Shadow Priests? For years we could actually heal ourselves, and they the decided that we shouldn’t be able to so they introduced a crappy spell that would “heal” but would also make you take damage and eat up your mana after you try and use it 3 times?
The problem is, you cannot get this person to understand, because he does not want to understand. Being the self-centered person he is, he could care less about what anyone else has to say and will argue until the cow comes home (and probably will still be arguing when Blizzard takes away the water-walking mount equipment in patch 8.xx).

40 gold. Characters over level 100 will have it unlocked for free. And all your mounts will have the same benefit. Still people complain. What the…

At 40g for alts that 1960g MAX per account. Meh…who cares? That’s pretty cheap really. At this point I’m ok with the changes, it really all hinged on how cheap this is. If you have an alt, you got 40g for this.
