That’s very unoriginal. I don’t want all my mounts to walk on water which is why I wish it were per mount.
And if I switched it’s abilities, I’d have to pay for something I would have if they just left the strider alone or made it per mount. I know you won’t understand because you’ve been told this multiple times by multiple people.
Oh, yeah, it won’t work like that. Otherwise, we’d all still have to logically ride on the bug so as to have another ground mount with an option on it of anti daze or parachuting.
I haven’t posted on this forum in years. However the choices that have been made over the last two patches are really starting to bring me to the end of my rope.
The removal of portals was stupid. I cannot find another way to say it. I really wish I could. I hardly ever used them, however the point is that they were fine. They made the world feel better and less annoying. I can not for the life of me find a reason to take them away.
Now this, this is even more stupid. Charging me to get back something I worked to unlock that is randomly taken away from me. Also adding significant inconvenience in getting the item for my alts.
Also all the new mount equipment doesn’t work for druids, but Tanks keep their anti daze, DKs/Shaman keep water walking…
Blizzard keeps doing things that are anti-player and I am not sure why. We are not the enemy, keeping things in the game that we like keeps us playing. Making things more difficult on us does not keep us playing.
This thread is quite large, so I can’t tell you who or where it is, but this isn’t true according to someone in PTR. The mount now hits water like concrete, and takes damage if it falls on water with the ability enabled. There was another difference they noted, if I’m not mistaken.
Yeah, that’s a pretty dumb excuse. It’s my mount. I just don’t run to MoP every time I want it and pick out a new one. The DNA of my strider wasn’t altered after birth.
I meant it will still walk on water, damage will cancel the effect now, I figure because it is no longer inherent. I think the equipment slot puts a “walk on water buff” on the player, essentially.
the 2 Nats aren’t the same, so i’m not sure why you’d assume he’d sell the same stuff.
this doesn’t make much sense…
sure, maybe a couple of people might decide it’s worth it, but if they don’t currently have engineering to make their own gliders, blacksmithing to make their own stirrups, and leatherworking to make their own barding, the existence of these new items isn’t likely to entice them into suddenly making their own.
xxx WATER WALKING JUST NEED STAY ON MOUNT AND IT GET NO USE OF EQUIPMENTS PERIOD! SAME GOES FOR ALL MOUNTS LIKE IT! PROBLEM SOLVED BLIZZARD PAY ME I’LL FIX YOUR GAME BECAUSE YOU CAN’T… xxx
Welcome to WoW 2024, here’s your one action button… We long ago decided mounts and other combat abilities were too complicated, imbalanced and too powerful so we got rid of them. There were too many classes so we simplified it… you can be a pewpew, stabstab, bashbash or healheal now.
You have “slightly faster when not in combat shoes” now. But no flying, because that was too powerful. Sorry if that means you can’t get to twilight bastion and other places, … You had your chance to do that and missed out.
Happy clicking!!
/Sarcasm
Too many buttons, scoff… my action bars hasn’t been this empty since I was level 10.
If the equipment items worked at the individual mount level instead of the character level, you wouldn’t have to. You could put water walking on whatever mounts you want to have that ability and another ability on other mounts. Blizzard doesn’t want us to do this, however.
That’s why it seems obvious that Blizzard’s real reason for this system isn’t to give people more choices - because it’s about the worst way to go about doing that. You may only see two options: keeping the strider as is and exempting it from items, or what Blizzard is proposing. The fact is that there are MANY other ways that Blizzard could implement a system to give actual choices.
Psst. There are two types of water walking potions currently in the game that will let you water walk on any mount. You may not like that option because of the relatively short duration, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still an option if the bug mount bothers you that much.
