Nobody is complaining about all mounts having the potential to water walk.
They’re complaining because an innate ability is being stripped from a mount and we must pay for EVERY toon that wants to get it back.
The system is great in theory, but nerfing the strider in the process is complete bullspit.

Well, there are only two possible ways to do this system where it would work as intended. They either do what they are doing or they have to give all mounts water walking. Anything else just sets it right back to what started all this.

I am glad you feel the way you do. This is your opinion. Blizzard will look at your post and side with you. (As the way I see it, you don’t care about the state of the game, mounts, gear, whatever. You are happy with whatever Blizzard throws your way.)
By the way. You will be able to ride whatever mount you want, and you can chose whatever ability you want, as long as it’s within three. I state this, because you will have three to chose from, and will have to destroy one in order to use the other. If you don’t have the item you want to use in your bag, you will have to purchase it again.

Oh I know, and that is a large part of why I am so annoyed, because I am certain that it’s not going to end with just removing WW from strider mounts. I would be willing to bet that come the next expansion they will either scrap the mount equipment, remove the WW shoes, or just make them so they can only be used in BFA zones, so people have to swim or take the scenic routes to get to where they are going in the new content.
I am also betting that they will either increase the amount of time/effort required for pathfinder again, or if the percentage of players to complete pathfinder in BFA is low enough that they think it won’t result in another mass exodus of subs, they may just take that away as well.

Thanks! Soon I will be soaring over everything, but in the next expansion, I def will be using the water walking or the anti daze, absolutely! In the meantime, I’ll use the free water walking boots I get in the mail for sure until sometime in 9.0 (if I even need the anti daze, could go tank and water walking).

Since it’s currently free for my alts, the reasonable price for alts is … free. I use it every day on every single toon I play.

Horse manure. Nobody’s fighting for less options. Blizzard can design all sorts of mounts, to be obtained in a variety of ways. They can implement the features they’re currently considering. Just leave our striders alone, and don’t take away the way they work. We worked to obtain them, and now bliz ONCE AGAIN rips the rug out from under it’s player base, with the greatest of ease, and pretends to want to listen to our feedback.
They may have you duped, but most of us see right through this smoke and mirrors.

All they need to do to please everyone is leave the strider untouched BUT make it not benefit from mount equipment.
That way everyone has the choice of what mount to waterwalk with if they don’t have/don’t like the strider, and those who earned the strider aren’t ooked in the dooker by being forced to pay to regain that ability for EVERY toon.

Don’t waste your time. He doesn’t care how it affects anyone else. As long as he gets the option he wants he is happy the rest of us can suck it up.

Better make sure it is a wise choice. Once you equip the water walking boots, they are gone from your bags as they are consumable same with the other two abilities.
Glad you have gold to buy more because the first one is free. The others are not.
I’ll say it again… they are consumable once you equip them. I hope you never have to change to daze or the other ability.
Yeah it takes one day of MoP timewalking to get the mount. Big whoop. And, it would be taking away options if there are mounts that have an ability that everyone has to use. Like, let me give you the “no option scenario”.
Me: “I want to walk on water, Nazmir is so annoying!”
Moonstriken: Use your water strider.
Me: “You mean I HAVE to use this easyily obtained mount to walk on water. Shucks, they should let me do it on my raptors- those are the ones I want.”
Moonstriken: “Sorry, you have no other option.”
Now we will do the options version:
Me: “Nazmir… I love riding on the raptor mount I love and riding over water! I love having this option!”
Moonstriken: “No! Everyone should still be obligated to ride on this easy to get mount if they want to walk on water!”
Because the thing is, we would ALL keep riding on the water strider and THEN have the actual mount we want to ride on all the time with the anti daze or whatever. It’s the same issue as before. At that point I have no option again except to ride the ugly bug if I want water walking because I’d have an extra mount slot. lol Or worse, we’d have a toolbar set to tons of different mounts each with a certain ability that we have to ride on in any given situation rather than the mount we WANT to ride on.
And that’s all that matters to everyone. That you’re happy.

Yeah, I won’t need to trade them out, is what I am saying. I mean, I used to have to pay to learn new abilities when I leveled up too. I used to have to buy reagents. I have had to spend gold on all kinds of things, this is no different. If I want to constantly switch it out I’d have to pay gold, and I am fine with that as I can’t really see myself needing to change it out every minute, hour, day, week, month, or maybe even year.
50 gold. Oh no. End of the world. My bags cost wayyyy more than that.
Again. You fail to see the point. They are breaking a mount to please you.
They could and should leave the water strider alone and add equipment slot to every mount as others have stated in this post.
They have to please one person and make everyone else upset.

Other options suggested:
- Make the equipment account wide and on a mount by mount basis
- Leave water strider as-is if you use NO EQUIPMENT on that character whatsoever
- If you feel so pained by the water strider you could have used water walking potions. It is more convenient for you to use the strider. That was a choice you made. You also complain that you don’t have the personal responsibility to choose between anti-daze and a cosmetic water walking. Again, your choice. Not my problem.

To be honest i Don’t view this as complaining i view this as a betrayal of trust with player base… when grind rep and lose the thing grinded rep for something lesser and more inconvenient yeah i think deserve more criticism against devs and game. So if that complaining oh well then. Rewards given and rewards taken away simple as that don’t trust in game vendors anymore lesson learned. As well don’t trust blizzard or its devs make good changes to game.
