Was Wow your first game?

If we’re including console games, then I’ve been gaming since a friend got Atari in the early 80’s. Looking back, I guess that I truly became a gamer once I had my own gaming system–the name of which I forget. It was something that got hooked up to the TV and allowed me to play Donkey Kong, Ms. PacMan and Centipede.

If we’re talking computer games, then it was Diablo 2, which my husband played at the time. I like to blame him for getting me into WoW, though it really is 100% my fault.

Ahhh, yesss… The memories come floodin’ back.

I had a friend that had Pong back then, but I only played it a few times. They also had a Pachinco game that I liked.

He had stilts, a unicycle, and a pogo stick for playing outside that I sucked at. It was still fun though.

Not long later my dad became an on the road trucker, and he got stuck with an extra case of Space Invaders at the time. The dock wouldn’t accept them, so he brought them home unbeknownst to me. Christmas that year I got an Atari 2600 and a snowmobile.

One of my favorite games was the KISS pinball machine at the local Cumberland Farms. I can still hear/feel the knock when you get an extra ball. My friends and I spent way too many hours and quarters on that machine.

My first online game was Doom, and then I moved to EQ when it came out. I played Asheron’s Call, DAoC, and EQ2 for a bit before trying out WoW. I ended up quitting about 6 months before the 1st expansion and came back at the end of Legion.

It was a great time to be a gamer, and I’m glad that I was there for it. The getting older part is just a side effect.

I think Heroes of Might and Magic was the first game I ever saw as a child, then I basically grew up with the N64.

Zelda OoT, Star Fox 64 and a few others. Spewing I didn’t get Conkers Bad Fur day at that time, if I could go back in time and give myself that game I would.

Yes, it was, and practically the only game I’ve played excluding some free trials and FFXIV briefly
Been a warcraft nerd since I was 2.

My first exposure to video games was in the early 80s I was probably around 4 years old when my parents went to visit another family that also had children one evening. In their den they were playing this console (or one closely resembling it)
www . videogameconsolelibrary . com/pg80-vectrex.htm
(remove the spaces around the . since it wasn’t letting me post the link as normal)

Little 4 year old me though it was the coolest thing, I don’t remember if they even let me play or if I just watched, but I instantly wanted one.

After that I think the next time I played video games was years later. It became a weekly thing that my parents would go out to eat at our mall and I’d go the the arcade to play games. I remember playing Rastan, Tron, Pac-Man and Timber the most. Eventually my parents bought an Atari 7800 second hand with a ton of games that I enjoyed. When the NES came out I begged and begged them for one and my parents got me the bundle that had Super Mario, Stadium Events and Duck Hunt. I think I have been hooked ever since.

My first game was Pacman on a blackberry-tier minutes phone. After that, Angry Birds and Dragon City, THEN WoW during Cata because I saw a dragon on the login screen. I’ve been addicted since.

It was the First MMO but not the First Game. The First Game I played was Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast.

I had a Vectrex when I was younger.

I had an Atari when you could get them from WalMart. I am that old…

But as far as an MMORPG. That crown goes to Ultima Online.

I’m old enough to know what Dewey Decimal means

Doctor Mario was the first game I played. Super Mario Bros 2 (US version) is the first game I received as a gift. Super Smash Bros for the N64 is the first game I recall paying for (I actually traded gifted games for it, got robbed blind by the store of course, but I really wanted it).

My first video game eh?

Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars during the year of 1999. I still remember not being able to get past the Hammer Bros at the very start of the game, and never finished the game until around 13(ish) years later. But what a grand moment it was to finally complete that journey after so long.

And yeah, seeing the remake on the horizon made my heart flutter so to speak as I have waited so ******* long for this. I can only hope (with some doubt to be honest) that it revives the child within me that fell in love with video games to begin with.
