Free to your opinion but i stick with mine. I like the HM aspect. For there to be a way to make the boss a better challenge for diff better loot.
The problem isnt the loot, its the player base mentality. People think because the loot is there, thats its an absolute requirement, they are entitled to it, and its mandatory or they cant progress. None of the HM loot is req to start gearing in toc. Its all extra as a smaller challenge. Thats it.

Maybe the system, but the gear reward from it however is not. Which is what i think hes refering to. As in
naxx gear is not current
Im totally fine with the challenge but id rather loot drop like heroic difficulty make it than one piece per boss. Thats just depressing.

Yeah but its completely optional. 1 peice of optional loot you can get per boss if you so chose to take the extra challenge.
Kinda reminds me of that old give an inch take a mile saying. They add the one extra loot for people to strive for but then its not enough. Pretty sure it was only 1 so people consistently downing the HMs will slowly over time get higher geared. Its incentive to keep pushing them.
Its optional is just a poor excuse. Playing the game is optional because fun is the main point. And loot can be fun. One piece per boss is poorly a reason to clear the content beyond the challenge. Toc will rain loot in comparison. Its not a matter to give an inch, they saw the problems with the system which is why we now have heroic difficulty coming.
Mind you, it’s “catch up gear” that’s on the exact same level that the original heroic gear is.

Just seems easier to me to have 1 thats gives you choices like the current HMs do.
Heroic + was to keep the content difficulty relevant to higher geared players and offer a comparable reward to effort neccessary to obtain items in a 10man group. Meant as a filler not a catch up,
The current raid is Ulduar. H+ gives Naxx 10m gear. It’s catch up gear.
Were H+ dungeons available before Ulduar released then?
You can blame hard mode as much as 2 difficulties for the end result as hard modes were the start of it. 2 difficulties still is better for players to use and to get rewards from than hard modes.
Only aspect of that i can personally agree with is if your looking at it solely from a amount of loot perspective.
Two difficulties essentially make you chose between all normals or all hms.
I like the option of being able to pick and choose if i want to which are and which are not.
You can keep saying that but doesnt make it true, stop being a scrub and get better gear like everyone else,
H+ final bosses give 213 gear do they not? Anyhow. Is 3.6k fine? Yep. But it is a ret pally (its not bad in dungeons, actually very good, but its one of those maligned specs, my warrior has some of the fastest heroic clears in the world+ 240 ilevel and i still get declined.) Also a lot of groups are just not groups running to ‘catch up’, they are daily heroic farmers who want equally geared people to just trash the instance in 20 mins.
A percentage of them are also dumb and misinformed and think that they need “aoe” to clear heroic+ like some sort of vanilla dungeon grinding group and somehow warriors/rets don’t count towards that comp goal…
Whether you choose to believe it or not, you would be a carry. Your guild has been carrying you all expansion, Im sure theyd be ok with carrying you through naxx and ulduar to catch you up. They could knock out Naxx in one day and get you multiple items and 10M Ulduar (including HMs) is easy enough that your 3.6 wont hold them back much at all.
