I’m also talking about PvP haha. Rogues hella strong in classic. Especially in world pvp. There are few classes I struggle to beat in the open world.
Yeah, what do I know. I’ve never raided TBC. I don’t even know what TBC means. Nothing but a memer here. I never thought I’d have a true expert visit my humble thread. You’ve exposed me.
warriors will be even more godly in pvp
Depends on context, imo they are even worse solo and wpvp. For example, good luck killing a bm hunter when you cannot fear, or stun them.
I had a rogue jump me the other night in Dreadmaul Rock. I was half health and no mana engaged with an ogre and I still killed him. I’m raid specced to boot. All things being equal (skill and gear) rogues are one of the worst classes for pvp in Classic. They have their uses in BGs but really that’s it. Most likely you are bullying people you outgear and that makes you think you are good.
Haha okay. Sounds like you’ve encountered bad Rogues. Rogues have the tools to beat almost any class out there. Watch some Roguecraft videos of naked Rogues killing geared players.
I’ve watched Roguecraft when they came out I played on Mute’s server Arthas. All those videos show is that a rogue’s damage doesn’t scale as well with weapons as a warrior’s does. With the same skill and gear a rogue player would perform better with any other class except druid. If you had played a rogue in BC you would know there is no comparison between what they can do in that expansion versus their current state.
First of all, you delegitimized yourself by saying “except Druids” as they’re awesome for PvP in the right spec. Second of all, I did play a Rogue in TBC and I’m not denying they’re better then. What I am debating is that they’re not good now. Rogues are absolutely one of the best classes for world PvP during Classic. It looks like you’re wearing mostly greens so I’m just going to chock it up to inexperience. It’s also worth mentioning that I have 3 other 60’s on Classic (Warrior, Druid and Shaman) so my current classic experience isn’t limited to just Rogue.
You really have to specify what you are talking about here. PvP is not one single activity its duels, WPvP, and BGs, in tbc it will also be arena. Classes perform differently in all of these areas. You compare rogues unfavorably with warrior, because they do not scale as hard with weapons, but the flipside of that is that a warrior without a good weapon is worthless, but a rogue still has cc. Rogues have a powerful toolkit with many cds as well as the advantage to pick and chose most of their fights.
I have zero respect for anyone who rerolls to whatever is strong at the time.
I have been a rogue for over a decade now and have never once switched a main.
Have some loyalty to your class
strange, but I respect the commitment
I played tank classes mostly, and have mained Warrior, Druid, Paladin, Death Knight.
I never really liked Fury for Warriors, but find myself in a deep-Fury build in Classic, and that’s been somewhat of a learning experience for me.
I’m planning on maining warrior for BC Classic.
Not looking forward to all the rogue/warrior FOTM rerollers.
This is how I remember it. There really aren’t any meme specs in TBC. 1 prot warrior and 1-2 arms or fury warriors will probably be common. Warriors won’t be a meme spec in TBC. They just won’t be OP like they are now.
But there ARE currently too many warriors. Half them will need to play something else. Because raids aren’t going to stack them in TBC like they do in vanilla.
Enhancement is a meme spec in tbc unless you abuse batching
And even then it just lets you keep up to some degree
For Pve arms dps i’d suppose sword spec would be superior but it has 2 downsides.
- The 1H swords are terrible for tanking and fury dps.
- While not a pve concern, Skillherald is far superior for pvp and wouldn’t lag that far behind Lionheart in Pve thanks to the speed advantage on your mostly instant attacks.
All in all, Blacksmithing specs only come into play for tier 4 and 5 where it falls off completely to tier 6/season 3 weapons and armor.
If I was going to main a warrior, I’d probably roll Hammersmith simply for convinience.
In your eyes then every spec aside from locks and hunters are meme specs then?
If you think imbue weaving is going to be a thing in TBC you’re sorely mistaken. Theres no way in heck you’re going to be able to get away with it with sub 2 second flurry adjusted swings.
Why not?
And again, Alliance has the upper hand…
Of course, when it comes to War Glaives, they don’t favor a particular faction.
As I said in several of my posts “all things being equal” meaning skill and gear a warrior will outperform a rogue. Funny how you guys have to put all these caveats to argue for rogues being good in PvP.
When I quit retail I had 250k HKs on my Shaman, 150k on my warrior, and 75k on my Paladin. That was during pandas. The reason this warlock is wearing Felcoth is because it was pre-BiS when I quit playing Classic a year ago almost to the day. I’m back now and I whupped several rogues in epics at Light’s Hope last night.
You don’t seem to understand the concepts of all things being equal and best/worst. Druids can do some good things in PvP and they have their uses, but overall they are the worst class. Rogues are 2nd worst. It doesn’t mean they are trash or you can’t have fun don’t take it personally.
Yep, just like I said, inexperience.
I have no trouble beating Warriors in 1v1 PvP. I’d say they’re on nearly equal footing with each other as far as PvP potential goes. Rogue has the ability to open, and then bleed kite them in their dead zone, blinding and then repeating. I just think you don’t really know how to PvP that well in classic.
They won’t be meme specs. Lol most every 25 man raid will have an ms warrior and a rogue, unlike now where most 40 man raids don’t have any ret pallies or boomkins. People play warlocks and hunters and mages in Classic, they’ll play warriors and rogues in tbc Classic too.
