But, but, but, Illidan’s shear I hear the warriors moan. Yeah, have the pally tank that. The feral is going to MT Sunwell Plateau. Prot warriors can tank tank Kara and SSC I guess lol.
Well you’re going to get crit and crushed the warrior sneers. Not so much. Won’t be crit. Might get crushed a few times, but we’ll have huge amounts of avoidance and the effective health of a warrior with last stand up. Remember, no crushes in sunwell either.
But I’m going to get full warglaives and DST I hear the edgy rogue squeak. Well XxBackstabzxX, the one rogue we let in the raid might get glaives IF he keeps up imp EA and kicks like a good little team player meme spec. Don’t be trying to flex your DPS, or you’re gonna get spanked.
To all the warriors and rogues who’ve been cool during classic…go in peace. To all the warriors and rogues who’ve been terrible to the non-healing druids and pallies, and who think you’ll remain top dog…you have an awakening coming. You guys might want to just stick with shadowlands or whatever.
Sadly most of the ppl who played Warriors in Classic are so determined to show how big their Epeen is, they will just switch to warlock or hunter so they can continue to feel superior. Meanwhile lots of us will continue to play what we enjoy and continue to clear content just fine
I don’t think this is very widely known, and I haven’t seen it discussed much. You’re right that my OP is childish and mean spirited, but the anticipation of the schadenfreude to come just feels good.
Enhancement Shamans actually get treated pretty well with improved weapons totems and the fact that a group can get the benefit of totems while freeing up an extra healer spot for another class.
Except that only applies to the try-hards and the top 1%ers.
Theres literally no reason not to take 2 rogues + a fury warrior. Also Imp EA isn’t superior to sunder IIRC in TBC.
Asto tanks, Warriors take less damage than pallies and if they’re capable can put out the same AOE threat as pallies can, It just requires more effort.
I think you’re really overlooking the way gear pops up on the loot tables. Alot of tanking gear is effectively useless or niche for ferals and Pallies, while warriors gear ALOT easier than either of the two.
Prot warriors also fare better on resistance based fights (if they’re going to be a thing) thanks to their base interactions adn not sacrificing a heap of health (bears) or threat (bears and pallies).
TLDR: OP’s statements applies to min-maxers and wannabe min/maxers only.
Alright, I might consider taking a warrior if and only if they’re arms, they’re sword spec, they’re a swordsmith, and they only get gear after the useful DPS (ret) gets it. God have mercy on their soul if they don’t maintain 100% battle shout uptime.
Or maybe I’ll just take another BM hunter. Another BM hunter will probably be better.
I see you have a warrior main and you’re looking forward to arenas but your warrior tricks won’t work on me. I know you want your stunherald but don’t talk crazy.
You mention warriors bring +damage. That means you’re speccing Blood Frenzy. That’s great, and appreciated but you’re not going to be topping meters as that spec. If you go deep fury your DPS will be quite nice late game, but you don’t bring that +damage. You can’t have it both ways. I’d personally take the arms/blood frenzy warrior for my warrior slot. They can keep blood frenzy, imp TC, and imp demo shout up.
OP, “meme spec” does not mean “not #1 on DPS meters”
Rogues and Warriors are still perfectly fine, but they’re just not as good as hunters/warlocks.
Compare that to REAL “meme specs” in vanilla, that struggle to do more DPS than the tanks and have to stack all sorts of consumes and weird gear setups just to even be remotely half-competent.
A lot of whining about TBC’s flaws only applies to minmaxers. People are already crying about “MUH DRUMS META”, when in reality, the only people who will be stacking their whole raid with drums are the sweat-dripping top 1%.
