Yeah, as I stated in my previous post, I do use bartender but now am forced to use a second add on as well.
But what about the people who liked to use Elvui? Bartender doesn’t bring that back. As I said before, only time will tell if Elvui makes an update for 10.0 or not.
So the complaints that these people have with the new UI are completely valid: they are not simply complaining to complain. They are complaining because they are unhappy with the new product.
So I just tried both of these, and the stance bar unchecked and unedited continues to just wind up in the bottom of the screen if I move bar one. I dunno, maybe it’s an issue on my end.
Well, I’m glad all that was able to help someone.
IN ADDITION i found bringing up the UI scale allows you to play with SIZING of the bars more.
Of course it ALSO increases those micro icons down in the lower right hand corner, but I think with a little time people CAN get their stuff pretty close enough to the way it was before.
At least close enough to play to some degree.
The “talent tree” (the only tree I’d applaud chopping down just for the sake of getting it out of the way) is a whole other matter for a whole other thread.

Yeah. The new UI is filled with a lot of function, but lacks heavily in form.
Considering all the hype and praise many WoW Youtubers gave it, I have to say I am disappointed. It does not live up to the hype. It’s just lifeless and feels generic.
The way it looks say “placeholder” more than it says “Warcraft.”
Hell it even comes up a little bit sort in the functionality department too now that I think about it. Why can’t I move were the bag window(s) open like I can the loot window?
I have a smaller monitor then those WoW Youtubers. Thus the actions bars interfere with the bags if I try to manually sorting items that can be equipped or have a use function.
Why can I not resize certain elements like the minimap? Sure there’s the UI Scale option in the graphics menu, but that resizes everything. Am I missing something?
I right clicked, edit mode, classic, I got it back.

Uh, not sure why you are mentioning Elvui. It is currently updated and working fine. My ui is just like it was before the patch
but there is. you can use the new ui or bartender to set your bars in the EXACT locations to the EXACT size to where and what the original ui was.
can you imagine being angry over a feature that allows 100x more customization than the original version.
is it the side dragons that got people so mad? or that they have to slide a scale bar to make it bigger or smaller? i dont understand.
Except I can’t put it elsewhere without ruining the aesthetic of having all the bottom bars contained within the gryphons.
And if you’ve “always had” 3 stacked bars, then you weren’t using the default UI.
People have been asking for a moveable UI. That is true, but when blizzard delivers, it is never 100% what we asked for. They don’t even allow you move the most eye sore, and out of place, elements on the screen. The bags, experience bar and menu bar.
I mean, for now, things can always be added. Just as they removed the old UI they can add it back
then they can choose the “classic” ui option and things will be back to normal for them!
elvui has had multiple updates recently and it works just fine
I like it. I agree. But this is the problem with many folks is they complain on anything .
I still don’t get what’s complicated about the ui.
You can by following these instructions:
Right click on character frame, select Edit Mode, drop menu select classic mode, close window.
Just use an export of the old UI…

Addons like bartender and dominos aint ANY easier…I know…ive used both.
They offer more options to some degree, but that is what addons are for.
This is an ingame UI change…it wasnt meant to replace all their addons.
