Just letting everyone know, you CANNOT have your UI set to how it was before today. Blizzard made the UI changes a major feature so unless an addon comes along, we all have to suffer with this god awful new UI.

I waited 11 hours for THIS!?
And now must spend God only knows how many MORE hrs trying to arrange this garbage in a way that’s playable and somehow keeping my shadowform button from leaping down to the next bar every time i move the one above it.
WHAT A BRILLIANT IDEA! TAKE SOMETHING EVERYONE WAS USED TO AND JUST THROW IT ON THE GROUND, JUMP UP AND DOWN ON IT and stick back up any which way.
Surely no one will notice.

What’s so awful about it?
I’ve spent over 20 hours on beta just fiddling with the UI. Its actually quite comprehensive and good. Much better than what we currently have. I can move everything just where i like it and have all my bars horizontal on the bottom and none on the right side vertical.
I find anyone screaming about it so far more or less just cant figure out how to use the editor properly within 5 mins so they resort to raging.
It may not fully replace addons for everyone some people have very specific needs. I personally hate UI addons and this new interface once you figure it out is actually quite powerful. Again, powerful but no, not exhaustive.
It certainly is better than the existing UI once you figure it out and get used to it.
I am sure a lot of people have “UI shock syndrome” used to their eyes looking for something in the same place every day for 18 years. Well, you’ll get used to it. I did. But yes it can be disconcerting and even temporarily panic inducing to feel like you don’t know where anything is.

If it’s taking you HOURS to set up your UI, especially if you’re trying to make it look like the old one, there’s something wrong with you.
I’ve never seen so much crying over something so small and trivial. Get over yourself.

The largest issue is not the moveable bars but how horrible the elements look. The menu bar is now a grey opaque look and it looks cheap.
The new gryphon/ wyverns on the hot bars look like a cheap mobile knock off.
Moveable bars are amazing, the customisation is fantastic, its the removal of the old elements that have been around 17 years and replaced with this new simplfied look that clashes with the game.
Fundamentally the it plays identically but it LOOKS awful which makes it FEEL awful.
And the minimap is just awful, you cant even get it to sit right at the edge of the screen and the calendar bar above it cant be separated from it so it just sits awkwardly with wasted space.
One step forward two back as always

i never asked them for it, i knew letting addons do it was a better option, it kept it simple for new people and let people that wanted to customize it get an addon for it.

So on action bar 1 there is an option to “hide bar art” which is what I chose, otherwise reducing that bar to 90 and the other two bars i normally had (actually had 2 on left bottom and two on right bottom, stacked on top of each other at 80% each) to 80% causes the art to obscure some of the upper bars’ buttons, but my REAL PROBLEM is that my shadow form (playing a priest) just leaps down on its own to the next lowest bar everytime i adjust a bar and when finally move that last bar the shadowform button just sits in the middle of the lower part of the screen WITH NO WAY TO MOVE IT!
So i can stay in shadowform or ATTEMPT to revert everything to default, eradicating the work I’ve alreadydone just to see if this can be adjusted (i already know it cant because I’ve moved the bars around several times with the same result each time) or HOPE ITS A BUG and just stay in shadowform until they get around to spend another 11 hours fixing it.

The worst possible design ever. Taken away what I have been accustomed to and modifying to MY liking was the worst decision Blizzard has made since inception. This entire redesign of UI and inability to revert or undo the update AHS JUST KILLED the game for me. This is an entirely new game and I do not want to play it. Now I am going to look on what the fastest way ’ out the door ’ will be for me and how to remove by auto-renewal . - The worst: WOW is dead!
