Go into edit mode and left click action bar one. Select Hide bar art .
Please Blizzard, just let me check mark a box to go back to the old UI

Ok, the UI grid options is definitely an improvement. The raid frames are green to start and you have to go into the interface and scroll down to find raid frame options, itâs not in the grid options. This was really frustrating at first, and there are some items such as the map and quest log that cannot be changed on where the pop on your screen, this would have been a great change since this has bugged me for over a decade. Bank bags are a total mess and really annoying - does anyone have an addon that can override the UI to combine the bank bags?

Now you have to use a proper UI while doing max-level questing in WoD or whatever people who donât use bartender do.

Could you share your layout please?
I love it personally and Iâm not sure what youâre warning against when itâs something you canât change or avoid.
Are people expected to see this and simply never log in again and go âthat was a close one. Thankfully that kind stranger warned me and I dodged that bullet, phew!â.
This strikes me like warning people that the sun is coming up tomorrow.

Well, ACTUALLY, to play WoW with the old UI there is alwaysâŠWoW: CLASSIC.

So an addon will come along; simple said. If the reverse has been existing for 17 years then there should be little issue but time and patience (and addon magicians they are).
Kinda a redundant âno kiddingâ post.
This, you can literally set up the âclassicâ preset and itâs almost identical to how it was pre-10.0 the only minor change youâll have to make is changing Action Bar 3 to a two row action bar at 6 slots each.

For me it was just seeing the same familar thing for 17 years; but at the same time it didnt take me but 20-30 minutes with edit mode to make the hotbar look just like the old one but with some updated, needed cleanup after 17 years (like professiob buttons and toys on a 6 icon small bar, and my âoh shoot!â Tank buttons on another 6 icon)
My -only- gripe, is that the rep bar is oddly not movable; I did like it above my hotbar

For me itâs not that itâs moveable, itâs that I can no longer line it up in a clean way like the old one. I love the bars going across the bottom of my screen and although I can certainly move them side by side it doesnât fit quite right and doesnât look as god. I have to resize everything to make it very tiny or it overlaps my chat box etc.
Iâll just wait for an addon. 
Edit: I also liked the heavy framing on everything.

I found a backup from 2018, copied the lua over and boom, my old ui!
You can set it to be 95% the same as the old ui with most of the 5% left out being the graphic elements that changed.
So the op and everyone that hit like on the their post are drama queens being over dramatic.

Guess it is just like the cataclysm again where we only wanted to fly in the old world⊠Blizzard only had to do one thing in making the action bar moveable but instead they change all the icons so that it looks like a terrible mobile game.

I can sympathize with the game not saving your work, that sucks. But âhours redoing workâ and âhours to figure outâ are not the same thing, so if thatâs what you meant then you werenât clear.
