Warmode Etiquette?

I think that’s true that WrA might actually be weirder about ERP than MG. MG is bizarrely open, but the most truly predatory stuff I’ve heard about has been here, much as I don’t like to admit it.

At least I can say about both servers is that have RP that isn’t ERP.

Also, WrA tends to have RP guilds who advertise and recruit. If I’m on my alts on MG, no one ever pops guild ads in trade. It’s odd.

I’m only on warmode for the exp or to farm Rousing Ire since they’re worth a decent amount. I leave people alone and avoid Horde. I suck and have meh gear so I stand no chance anyways. If I die it’s annoying but I don’t complain.

I’ve had a couple funny moments though. Sometimes I accidentally spook people of the same faction who are also mining/herbalisming. The other day I started walking up to a mineral deposit next to a cliff that a demon hunter of the same faction was already farming, and when I got close she got so spooked she accidentally leapt off the cliff and fell to her death. It was funny but at the same time I felt bad lol

Spooked her like a high strung cat turning around and seeing a cucumber.

I just want to see more threads from people complaining that they “got ganked” while having war mode on. It’s hilarious.

I love a good surprise wpvp shagging, but being camped by a coordinated 5-man while leveling should get you sent to the outback.

In warmode you must always strive to be a classy broad. If that is impossible for you, then you must die.

If you choose to turn on the mode that lets other players kill you and then complain when other players kill you that’s 100% your problem.

It’s not your fault.

It’s blizzard fault because leveling is too long and the XP bonus of war mode should be baked into regular gameplay. This result in people turning it on just to make the grind from 1-70 bearable ( it’s not still but ) with no expectations of actually PVPing.

It would all be settled rapidly if BLizz would do like modern MMOs and let you change classes on the fly, when you get bored of the class you are playing. But they don’t seem to be there yet.

honestly people are just babies. If you opt in warmode you know there’s a possibility that you’ll be ganked or have a bad time. It literally comes with turning it on. People just like to complain when it doesnt go their way.

That minute when the MG player comes over to stir the pot. Lol, good try, my guy, but we see the bait.

I’m hungry

I been on MG for a few months now.

Only on WRA have I been approached by a shirtless male worgen that aggressively wanted to epic role play with me.

However MG I also saw someone using the Uuna battle pet with a pet leash on and an profile for them that said “forced dancer” and I was like, wow maybe Blizzard should delete this server.

oh I got plenty on WRA but I got the full amount I got on WRA over the course of years in my first week on MG.

Oh yah I bet!! The whispers I’ve seen folks I know get :dracthyr_lulmao:

I think what has helped me avoid them is I don’t play a fem character and I’m an engineer so I never have to go to SW to use the AH lmao :dracthyr_lulmao: :dracthyr_lulmao: :dracthyr_lulmao:

dragonflight is the first expac since wod where you’ve not had to go to orgrimmar or stormwind for the auction house :thonk:

also wra and mg both have the same creeps, mg just attracts people who are more open about it

they have the same creepy intentions but the methodology of being a creep is a huge differentiator.

WrA creeps are the more Machiavellian perverts and MG creeps are the guy with their pants off in the NY subway system

LOLOLOL omg this is the funniest way to explain it.

But yah, I don’t do walk up RP anymore, I stopped way back on WRA before coming to MG so nothing to do with the server, just prefer to RP with my friends these days at scheduled events. We’ve also met some great people on MG so it’s not all bad. Just have to occasionally report the certain coded profiles :dracthyr_lulmao: :face_vomiting:

No, no…he’s right. If you don’t want to PvP, don’t turn on War Mode. That’s literally what it’s for.

If you want the extra incentives, that comes with having to be ganked from time to time. PvP happened in a PvP mode you can turn off any time you want. No one’s feeling sorry if you get killed just because you want extra xp and incentives. There’s more than enough people who don’t enable WM and do just fine without it.
