Determined to keep this thread alive through attention of likes and repeated replies.
Im not even sure which person on X < Twitter we need to hit up to get this topic acknowledged?
I would home some form of feedback from the forums makes it up the chain .
Ooo weee. 12 days of silence. Waking this bad boy thread back up and wiping off the dust.
Warlock animation. Idle stance. Get em in. Lets go.
warlock NPCs in the dalaran crash quests use the updated animation but not the player yet
We all are. I feel like unless someone outright asks them during a Blizzcon Live feed, what the deal is; itāll probably be ignored and never resolved. I mean I just canāt figure out for the life of me why itās STILL not in game despite multiple Betas involving MANY players asking whatās up.
The only reason I could think of on why itās not been added, is that some Dev plays a Lock and perhaps doesnāt want their Blood Elf and / or Vulpera to look āsinisterā. Or something. IDK what other reason it could be to be honest. Weāre not Mages.
What part of āPower at any cost, poisoning Stormwind nobles, and looting the Black Templeā is missedā¦?
We Locks are not āNICE!ā
Bumping bumpy.
EXACTLY. Class fantasy and identity exists for a reason. Weāre not some mages that fling spells like itās nothing. Warlocks are opportunists that strive for power.
If we didnāt get the short end of the stick in Legion, we wouldnāt even be in this mess.
This is not some new spell to figure out and balance, nor is it a mechanic to unwind and tweak. LocReadyCast is INSIDE the data files and continuously used for non-warlocky reasons. They might as well take it out of the class selection screen because that tease is REALLY annoying.
If theyāre interested in the identity of others so much, why isnāt this, something SO separate from the other classes, implemented to achieve that warlock feel?
Bumping thread.
Poking this thread awake.
Bumping this thread up to the top once again.
I am a stubborn warlock.
I am all for more animations! But, I would prefer animations where our staff/dagger/sword/wand is held. And off hands held up, like a book open in our left hand. Thereās no excuse for that. Using our weapons as a catalyst for casting would look so cool. I donāt want to settle for less. Could even give us the option of no weapon casting and use all these animations too.
The thing is, this animation is not something they need to make from scratch. Itās not so much ānewā in that sense, but being used for non-warlocky daily quests, appearances and that salt-in-the-wound class selection screen.
It SHOULD be a separation of mages in-game.
Unburying this thread from its grave. Keep the dream alive
Starting to think the only way this will get traction is if people go to conventions where Blizzard is and outright ask about it on camera during live feeds, as people sometimes used to do at Blizzcons. I mean folks arenāt trying to be critical here Blizzard, but come on now. Itās been too long.
Forums, Twitter, other media, Blizzcons. Iāve tried Twitter once before but couldnāt figure who to talk to. Iām also only just one voice. We gotta spread out the awareness.
I donāt like the pose. It looks like the warlock is straining with lower back pain.
What about a toggle maybe? I mean why not, they already have the mage stance so if they added the one they were supposed to get back in /checks notes
LEGION
goodness
there is no reason to just full on replace anything. I mean maybe there is data wise but in terms of animation effortā¦
Bumping this thread because weāre still using the Mageās Spell Idle. Itās ridiculous.
Bumping this, weāre not mages. Weāre locks. Demon summoning ā¦ soul sucking evil made manifestā¦ in the name of gulādan we need our idle to reflect it.
Honestly you are all the reason why we have fruit pictures and no game play mechanics ever get fixed, because you all whine about something thats so stupid and make such a loud noise that the classes end up in the state they are in.
How about you moan about things that actually change the way a class is played. Honestly - they go do something about this you take away dev time from actual gameplay.
