Well isn’t this amusing. Clearly, you were not here for the real reason why this choice was made or is your ego so high up to not notice this claim doesn’t make sense?
You understand Class Identity is a gameplay mechanic to some degree, right? I would be careful how you point how class identity is stupid. There are quite a bit out there who will take offense to your passive aggressive output.
Proclaiming an idle ready casting animation that has since been in the game and not implemented does nothing to affect the grand elements of the Warlock class.
That’s what we’re doing. You did read the first post, right? Having this distinguished animation style places a firm divide between Warlocks and Mages. This final act of class identity changes the way the class is played and viewed from a relaxing caster of Arcane, to a destructive force of Fel.
You don’t seem to understand. It already exists in the character selection screen and thus the data files. There’s no development time to hassle over when it can be copy/pasted from class selection to ingame.

Bumping to push traction.
Bringing this back to the top.
They do need it. Has everyone used the Feedback Tab on Battle-Net and mentioned it there? If not then you should mention it there along with a black / red Chaos Bolt Glyph variant. Maybe with enough feedback posts flooding the Devs will get that Warlocks need actual buffs, and their actual casting stance.

I haven’t, no. And it would be rather neat to have a glyph that chances the chaos bolt color to that variant.
I could definitely see it to be possible. If enough completely congest the feedback, it’s bound to grab attention and some form of reply. You think mentioning this thread is a good idea?
Remember how long it took blizzard to implement Incubus after they announced they’d do it?
True, but with enough outcry, there may be some mention about this. It’s clearly still used in the game. Just not for players for w/e reason. Shouldn’t be restricted to NPCs or the class selection screen.
Wow, i was completely oblivious to this all this time.
Damn blizzard, how do you expect us to react to this? the animation is dope, just add it
A lot of people I’ve noticed have realized the same, but no fault to them. It’s not something a player can really acknowledge by playing the game but it does make a significant impact on its class identity.
Blizzard was immense on class identity back during the Legion expansion but of all the classes to get attention on, Warlocks didn’t get anything. Though we’d get our spells and visuals over time during the BfA beta and PTR, that one animation never came through to the class.
Instead, from that point on and even to the present times, it’s a constant and rather irritating tease to see it just randomly pop up and be used for something else.

I get we need this, but tbh, by asking for this, blizz will act like its some massive thing and we will get nothing else.
Is this really the most important thing we need? Imo, no.
We need updated shad bolt graphics, rebuilt class tree with doomguard, huge class modernization, etc… just to name a few. Not to mention glyphs for alot of things.
I am just saying be careful what you ask for.
I’m in full favor of all that and especially the glyphs… but this animation was intended for us to get back in Legion and we never got our updated spells until the expansion after that.
That animation is in the class selection screen, clear as day, and NPCs at the Dalaran crash site USE IT. Why can’t the players? It doesn’t make sense.
Reviving this thread from the grave.
Smacking this thread back up. No rest until our spell-casting animation is addressed.
Blizzard say they are listening, but really don’t. They listen to the big video streamers to make it “Sound” like they are, If you want something noticed you have to get a big time streamer to say something.
