Oh but it paints the exact picture it should be painting and needs to be painting.
They announce cool things, but hide Asterix ‘*’ at the end.
Before the outrage in the beta it was their intention to make it so ALL tier sets, tokens included be excluded from being learned warband wide, and it was changed for the tokens specifically due to feedback. That is the picture it is painting. Them hiding * in announcement hyping people up only for players to realize later on they have fallen for it. Again. And they need to get to their keyboard to once again voice discontent.
The same picture where they announce Account wide Rep! but wait did you see the ‘*’? With the exceptions of X and Y and Z!
I will not give the benefit of the doubt until it is earned or very simply clearly voiced as something they are working on if it is technical limitations. I will not watch a Blizzcon announcement telling everyone to loud cheers that any armor type can be learned by any class to then read a small post that 99% of player will have missed specifying that Tier Sets are excluded! Anyone with any logic can expect Tier sets to be what they are talking about or at least included when making that statement since most everyone farms old raid mainly to collect the class Set shown in the appearances tab in your collection.
You call it nasty even though no personal insults we’re ever made. I call it direct feedback with a visible and deserved tint of annoyance very intentionally put there. I have had too many experiences over the decades with these *** and hidden shenanigans ruining systems. They will hear what I truly think without needing to resort to insults. I will not sugar coat.
They want positive feedback ? Don’t mislead players with dodgy announcement with hidden ‘*’ & features no one sees coming with the way the announcement is worded and delivered.
Be honest, be clear, and most importantly, be consistent. Positive feedback will follow once it is earned once again.
Correct. Because they weren’t going to work on it yet. Then with feedback, they decided to work on it. But can’t get it all done yet.
All you’re doing is throwing out emotional ranting and getting insulting towards this whole thing.
Take a step back, understand this is long term development where they will look at constructive feedback, not attacks or emotional outrage perspectives.
No. They want constructive feedback without the nastiness from people.
… I don’t feel attacked by anything? None of it is directed towards me, so how could I possibly feel attacked?
I’m talking about the remarks people have made towards Blizzard and instead of giving constructive feedback on what they want to see, they’re just yelling about it, getting insulting, etc. Even this thread started with this:
(and that, by the way, is against the forums rules to use masked language)
See, now that was nastiness directed towards me. Nothing else was.
Look, I get the frustration and the annoyance. But this isn’t just simple changes that can be made and they didn’t hide that fact, either. That’s why I said we need to give them constructive feedback on these topics. Not emotionally charged ones.
Utterly underwhelming and disappointing pre-patch and I sure hope it’s not a harbinger of things to come with TWW.
Transmogs are a HUGE disappointment. Expectations were set and not delivered upon. Looted a bunch of older gear and none that were not my class registered.
UI and API changes to nerf gameplay for those that relied on those features due to disability (such as partial blindness on my part)… thanks Blizzard for being completely disconnected from your playerbase. Keep catering to the 1% it’s not going to keep your sub numbers up. You did wonderful in Dragonflight and now you’ve taken 10 steps backwards.
Then there’s the stacked nerfs to healing and tanking. Time will tell on those.
Just a big opportunity lost imo. We’ll see how TWW pans out I guess. Bought into it heavy with the CE and EPIC on two accounts, along with a 1 year sub during my return to DF as I had so much fun. Second guessing those decisions now.
Aww man, I returned to the game largely to spend time farming old content for mogs. There goes that idea. I even held off running old content when I thought the patch would allow my to unlock them for other classes. This is a huge L.
