I knew I read somewhere that Set Tokens would be learnable account wide but not the individual piece drop. Tried to do Molten Core and can’t learn the Set pieces as expected.
There’s a disgusting lack of consistency in your decisions Blizzard. Tokens or not they are set pieces and should be learnable. Enough with these changes that come with an ‘*’ because ‘‘class fantasy’’.
You did it with the Reps like furbolg, now you do it with Set pieces… Make up your mind man… You either do it, or you don’t… Now what’s the point of farming old content, the tier sets ARE THE REASON WHY WE WOULD DO THEM. I look in my appearance page, open the set section and choose which one I want to farm. But no… Even that’s too much to ask apparently. Who gives a fk about random pieces that aren’t part of any sets. Or the off set armor type versions that some sets have some don’t because again lack of consistency.
Get your logic together man… enough with these halfway measures it’s miserable to always see a cool change and have to remain sceptic because we’re conditioned to know there’s an ‘*’ somewhere in there.
Yes exactly, from what I understand from the Blizzard post I read if you do ICC for example it should work and you should be able to learn it from whatever class you are on, or send it to warbank. But if you loot the gear itself that is a tier set for another class you can’t learn it.
Oh, okay. I do vaguely remember a mention of these tokens becoming warband-equipped (or whatever it’s called), but I don’t remember where the quote came from.
Maybe it was one of the features that was broken along with the warbank.
This supposed change was one of the main things motivating me to return. A possibility to catchup quickly and finally farm out lots of mogs efficiently. I found this out about the tier pieces and now I am actually mad af. This feels like a rugpull. Probably just gonna play some other mmo now.
Yeah I just ran an old raid noticed the tier sets weren’t being added to my collection. So I have to run the raids over and over again just hoping to randomly get the right gear with the character I’m on? How is that different than before? I was so hyped to farm old content but not anymore. What a waste.
In case you were wondering, this isn’t an oversight. This is intentional. People constantly complained about this in the gbeta. For months. It was ignored. The only thing that will change it is if the forums get flooded with complaints like this.
It’s such a weird hill to die on too because, like you say, the tokens are Warbound. So it’s not “class fantasy” because apparently that only applies to some sets and not others. Why is Nighthold, Hellfire Citadel, MC, BWL or the Vault of Archavon an exception to most other raids?
In the MrGM interview 2-3 days ago they also talked about it at 10:15. They talked about tier Tokens being ‘‘ok’’ & tier pieces not being learnable because once again the crap about ‘‘class fantasy + they are special’’. 0 consistency… There’s no difference between tokens and tier pieces.
The notes say that those tokens are bind to warband but they also disabled the warband bank due to a critical bug. The intended functionality is to get the tokens, throw them in your warband bank, and then learn them on your other characters that CAN use the token. We just can’t use the bank right now to do that. Hold on to the tokens.
Class tokens from Legacy raids are also Warbound and transferable on your account.
It’s obviously a technical limitation that will require more dev time to fix. I wish they’d just be straight with us about it, but I also understand that marketing won’t want the bad press of “our game code is so messy we can’t make these items account bound”.
They did tell us up front how it would work. This shouldn’t be a surprise.
The vast majority of transmog can now be learned by everyone. There’s no need to be so harsh over a handful of missing sets. Work on all the sets you can do now.
