same here. very poorly implimented.
Blizzard loves wasting our time.
Old raids should just unlock everything as it drops - no matter what class you are.
Why waste my time, Blizzard?
It could have been a fantastic feature, but Blizzard always stops just when it could be great then makes it just “eh”.
If class restrictions on set pieces are gonna stay, then what I’m hoping Blizz does is re-add tokens to all the legacy raids that originally had them. All raids all the way up through WoD used to drop tokens and you can even still see them in the Adventure Guide. At some point many of these raids were changed to just drop set items directly instead of tokens. Whatever their motivation was for making that change, it’s now come back to bite us all in the butt all these years later and it would’ve been better if it’d never happened.
Also, don’t let Blizz gaslight you. They may claim ‘class fantasy’ but in a game where so many restrictions have just been lifted for collecting transmog, don’t you think that rings rather hollow? How’s the impact on ‘class fantasy’ any different when my priest acquires a polearm appearance or an off-set plate belt, but can’t acquire another class’ set belt? No, it’s some sort of ancient technical limitation that nobody on the current team knows how to remove and they don’t want to work on it at the moment.
No half measures.
It shouldn’t stay as is.
Demand better from Blizzard, not moving the goal post so Blizzard can do less than they should.
Sheesh, are you so combative that you’re even gonna jump on folks who agree with the grievances? lol
This really took the wind out of the sails of this feature for me. Half-baked is the correct term here.
If you took it that way then that’s on you.
I’m sick of seeing players giving up and moving goal posts back instead of advocating for what is the best option.
I’m pretty sure they specifically said that class sets aren’t going to be warbandable, but I’d expect them to be added later (because like… why the hell else would we be running a bunch of these old raids if not for the class sets? MC ain’t exactly fun).
They didn’t do it with all reps. They will be doing it with all reps, over time. Only TWW and DF reps are account-wide right now.
Warbands arent finished, for whatever reason. They wanted to give us the coolest part (which is the bank stuff) with the prepatch, and then the bank was broken. Either way, they have already said more warbands Stuff will be happening over the course of TWW.
So still at the mercy of the RNG gods. Been farming the paladin LFR ToS helm for MONTHS. Dropped on my monk today, excited but was confused why I didn’t get the notification.
Legion is problematic enough with the artifact relics taking up valuable loot spots.
Who uses generic tier sets for transmog anyway
dont forget Classic and WoD raids:) you’ll need to run multiple times also.
Got the full sets from vanilla, so I’ve got that going for me. Been at this awhile.
Yea I was hoping you can learn everything on one toon, but this new transmog system just makes it easier to collect off pieces, and bound on account items. They’re not even labeled Warband so you can’t even add them do warband bank so they can be used on other toons. Really sad.
But again it’s blizzard. If they promise a good spoon, you may get you will get a spoon but definitely it won’t be golden one.
I guess we will have to take what they gave us and be happy with. At least it’s a step in right direction. Last night from a whole legion raid I learned two appearances ,everything else was class specific.
P.S I hope this is because warband bank is disabled and needs a fix. They said we would be able to transfer them
I’ve played long enough to remember the same promise for the dance studio. I have zero faith in their ability to deliver promises, but they are great at breaking things (like when they broke legacy content with the last level squish, and still haven’t fixed it (i.e. why add health to legacy content bosses so they can’t be solo’d?).
Is it new gear that drops or should it be anything that has class redirections? Cus I almost sold a warglaive thinking the feature didn’t work the way I thought it would.
If it says anything about class restrictions, or is a tier armor peice, it is not learnable by anyone but that class. Weapons are almost never restricted that way.
Blizzard markets the new features coming with TWW as recognizing the player instead of the character, and includes a feature to collect transmog on any character.
Implements changes half arsed such that some sets can be collected via tokens, but other cannot, thus not exactly reaching the stated ‘collect transmog on any character’.
Also buffs old raids so some content old takes longer, some old content is more frustrating to complete (like Eonar with the speed nerf), and some is now impossible (mostly SL stuff players will able to complete with DF end-game gear that got buffed by almost 3X).
And lastly - if changes are made or not made due to technical limitations or a lack of prioritization, just say so.
Don’t try to gaslight us with nonsense like ‘class fantasy’ as a reason.
