Not to worry. He remembered to lock up first.
Dalaran goes the way of Draenor huh? well, my upcoming pandaland v2 mage toon is going to be annoyed having their base blown to pieces after I take them through legion.
Alas poor Khadgar, I wont really miss you.
Don’t worry folks, it’s all just a premonition of what will come to pass if we don’t defeat <insert generic boss name here>
honestly I don’t think that is the case, yeah blizzard does play fast and loose with the rules but a character like Varian is 100% dead they didn’t even really bring him back for the Shadowlands expansion. and that’s the same for a character like Saurfang. Ysera could be a good example of blizzard not committing to a character’s death, but really her return was very temporary and to blizzard her inclusion into dragonflight might have felt a bit mandatory.
the point is I absolutely can see blizzard committing to a character’s death and the more impactful it is the more likely they will stay dead. for example I don’t think we’re seeing Kil’jaeden again or Gul’dan or Varian or Tirion etc and if they give Khadgar a big dramatic death I can see that being it for him too. I think they’re aware no one would like Varian coming back that is not in the cards they know the importance of keeping a death like that unblemished.
Major Spoiler: Azeroth explodes in the end and we escape through the stargate to a new location in the universe with all new threats.
So, what you’re saying is, we should let [insert big bad name here] win? I’m all for it. Maybe the game will finally shut down.
I hate that they’re destroying Dalaran because I hate phasing with a passion.
When they did the phasing crap with Undercity, some of my characters can’t use the flightpath. Why? I don’t know. I talked to the stupid dragon of course but that doesn’t matter.
It’s like half of my characters can’t see original Hyjal but some can. The ones that can’t need to do the Hearth of Azeroth quest. Why? It’s old content and I don’t want to do it.
I didn’t mind them updating the zones in Cata because there’s no phasing. You can’t switch between old and new 1k Needles, for example. But any zone that has like 2 or 3 different phases just annoys the crap out of me.
I really hope that this newly destroyed Dalaran moved some where else before it crash.
Rip person who dies
Based on what videos i’ve seen, my guess is you go to legion Dalaran or a custom Dalaran via portal/hearthstone, do a scenario that teleports Dalaran to the new expansion and then it go boom.
You make some compelling points but I still think their use of timelines and dimension swapping has set the permanent precedent that nothing is set in stone. They’ve brought back multiple bads multiple times. They’ve made it clear with their use of those devices as retcon enablers that we just don’t really know who is a floating lost soul and who is permadead.
We can’t really say, objectively, other than how we feel about those deaths whether they are/should be permanent.
i think people are generally more accepting of bad guys returning especially when it feels like they were never given the attention they deserved. like i’d be fine with Archimonde coming back because his death was so crappy but I’d be less forgiving of Kil’jaeden coming back who had a really cool death
I’m gonna be honest, I care more that they’re getting rid of the best expansion city (seriously, any bets for how much worse the new one will be? probably a lot worse) than Khadgar.
I think this is a good thing. Giving the xpack some stakes. Plus its something that brings us all together. Lets kill some stuff
I don’t care about either to be honest. I’m tired of seeing Dalaran and I’m tired of Dadgar as well.
Give us fresh blood across the board instead of just reserving the death bat and replacement for Horde faction leaders.
It should have been Jaina.
Not a fan of destroying one of the best cities they ever made, but as long as Legion Dal is still intact, whatever, I guess.
Yeah she’s 10x more annoying.
At least Dadghar likes the Horde all the time.
Should have been both.
But also Baine, Anduin, and you pick an Alliance character to add.
Just Baine is fine.
