For real though isn’t it a shame that the deaths of vital NPCs doesn’t carry as much weight now that we have been to the Literal Afterlife and can find weird ways of bringing them back?

How is that a good ending for a character like him on top of having one if not the most iconic weapon in all of the game?
Sure, we dont know what happens but it’s clear that they go in silence claiming he DIES…
Unless there’s a “plot twist” where khadgar teleports with half of the city trying to help others to minimize the damage and life loss and we see him on the next expansion or two… that would actually make sense…

Wow characters aren’t developed well enough for me to care if they live or die. Khadgar’s potential loss is meaningless to me.
But Dalaran crashing to the ground - that’s heartbreaking.

I vaguely remember reading something about Khadgar trying to protect Dalaran while it falls out of the sky, dying in the process. I don’t know why or how I remember this because it’s from before today’s alpha datamining, so probably from a fever dream of my imagination.

I hope he ain’t gone as half of me would be devastated at losing him. He’s one of my favorites.
BUT this also opens up another worry, which is about Atiesh. Is it destroyed? Stolen? Teleported away to an unknown location? Is it going to be a loot drop for a raid as a legendary again Good lord i already did the farm on Classic for my Warlock, my poor heart can’t take that grind again.

We already knew this was happening and coming. Not new.
I really hope he gets into a good covenant while he stays in Shadowlands.
Is he really though? Is he more dead than Vol’jin that everyone harps on about coming back?
Face it, Blizz has never committed to anything on their lore for WoW, it could all change on a whim.
It doesn’t even have to technically change, they can just timeline splice it all away, dimension merge it all away, with the lazy deus ex plot devices they constantly employ.
And even if they don’t, it’s within our own imaginations to just say “Well, there’s a timeline/dimension where this didn’t happen, so the opportunity for a comeback is there.”
Blizz has butchered the story so badly, that I couldn’t care less
