War Within Class Tuning Incoming – September 3

“They” are being like “that” because some people have poor manners, but “they” are responding volatilely because both you and this person have chosen to be dismissive of everyone’s concern for their favorite specialization because of either a (presumed) conspiracy theory (you) or a misunderstanding of the desire to revert these changes (them) to have the alterations be an aura nerf instead (while still acting dismissive and rude).

Changes are needed, but I do agree the way it’s been gone about is subpar.

I only disagree with people saying it’s fine as before.

Also please don’t use throwaway accounts to flame/mischaracterize people to “win” at arguments with nil penalty. It’s a common trend on the forums.

I really wish you would adjust the tuning and not the rotation impacts (burden of power). This is like dejavu all over again with spell queuing fun killing.

Arcane Soul may as well not exist.

Fire mage buffs are complete Air they need more than double that to be performing.
Living bomb currently deals 0 damage 30% increase to 0 is still 0. Needs a 150% buff. Everyone hates playing flamestrike please stop buffing flamestrike. I recommend a buff to ignite and another 15% to pyroblast. Please fire mage is still going to be dead last after this buff.

Yeah - that’s the majority of what’s been said here, by people who are justifiably upset about the intended changes. We know it’s overtuned like a mf’er - we knew we would see nerfs (just like when 10.1.5 released and flamestrike was doing unhinged damage in keys by not being target-capped), we just don’t want the core rotation of arcane to be screwed over and our community leaders driven to madness having to re-construct and re-write guides because of how much this will change at the core of our spec for both raid and M+.

I’m still stuck on the tank changes from a month ago, so I know how people feel here.

Trying to reach a statistical balance target but going about it the wrong way.

Sunfury mage is really fun, and I love the rotation. Please reconsider removing the double dipping aspect of Burden of Power. I am more okay with lower damage than a less-complex rotation.

To echo what many have said, a major change to the Burden spell queue this close to launch, especially considering the nether precision revert with the understanding that it would severely affect the play style, comes across as disrespectful of the communities time and severely disconnected/tone deaf.

Tune the numbers instead, why change such a major part of the rotation? If you have an issue with spell queue this isn’t the time to address it.

I can’t also mention enough that Arcane Soul is one of the best feeling new abilities and making the window for it too short is going to screw over how a lot of people interact with this really cool ability.

Please reconsider the changes to Arcane. Currently, the playstyle is enjoyable and the change to Burden of Power and its ability to double dip kind of throws a wrench into the playstyle potentially leading it to something far less enjoyable. Instead, do number tuning on burden of power or other spells inside the hero talents.

Outlaw still needs PvP buffs badly.
I’m glad Enhancement’s damage got looked at (even though it still got a base % nerf) but Outlaw doesn’t have a ton of players to advocate for it but the damage is absurdly bad as it doesn’t benefit from any armor-penetrating magic damage outside of like, poison application.

Having no real damage cooldown, plus having low damage on top of that, means there’s no place for Outlaw right now in PvP and an entire non-tank spec shouldn’t be completely shut out of the game like that.

fun detected. must nerf fun. fun not allowed. this is a blizzard game. they arent allowed to be fun.

Why didn’t we just add an aura effect -10% to arcane? Why did I even bother learning my rotation just for blizzard to change it so suddenly before raid. What a disappointing change by blizzard and makes me feel like playing wow was a mistake

yeah, same deal. This nerf doesnt look to hardly effect the overall ceiling of SF arcane, but it does drastically change the rotation. change bad, revert bop double dipping. Reducing soul duration is less fun, nerf aura damage, literally make them numerical. What is the point of all these fun new abilities and talents we play around to make them shorter and less fun. Reduce numerical stats

Why nerf frost dk and leave fury warrior untouched? Plus mage changes? Hello? Do you guys just have specific classes you want to see do more damage?

I’ve only played frostfire mage so far but, if my arcane mage players are saying this change is not fun for gameplay and that damage was a little bit too much please, nerf some damage and don’t touch the rotation gameplay. We should be having fun far above anything else in a game!

Agree to this. Stormbringer Ele feels kinda awful IMO with the Maelstrom changes, Enhance flows sooooo much better. Would love to see some kind of change for Ele to be more reflective of the smoothness of Enhance Stormbringer.

So Demon Hunters are most in need of proper buffing and tuning gets 0. Honestly a complete rework needed. Were nerfed last patch for no reason down to 3% on thier buff, wile other classes retain 5+, thier general damage is to low, ST, and aoe should be higher when gear ilvl goes up. Gear ilvl and stat weights doesnt properly translate like other classes. But again tossed in a ravine left for dead.
We understand our dev hates us and never reads logs or forums posts. But you think the other devs would of said something by now.
