What guilds are doing leveling content? What guilds work with people extremely flexible schedules that almost never line up with prime time (when most guilds raid)? What if I want to play as arms? Guess I don’t get to play the game then?

Just because people used to do it one way doesn’t mean it’s the right way. RDF was a vast improvement over what we had. And every single one of you knows it.

You can make false equivalencies all day, but it doesn’t remove the fact that RDF degrades the social fabric of the game, breaks immersion, and promotes antisocial behavior.

There’s hundreds of players at all level throughout the whole game. They’re just spread out across several servers. RDF connects those players

I’m not talking about your personality preventing it.
I’m saying that if there are no players on your server at your level, then the only players you’d group with would be on other servers, therefore preventing you from making friends that you could play with for more than that one dungeon.
And? Not sure why this is a problem.
Doing a dungeon with people I won’t see again is better than not doing a dungeon at all.
so you want people created out of thin air to play with? The issue your mad with is purchasing level 70/58 characters and that gaming today players dont level like they did back in 2008?
As the simplest explanation.
It removes a reason people talk to eachother. To find a group. It removes one of the reasons people try to make social connections. To make grouping easier in the future. It removes one of the reasons people are polite and less likely to be a jerk or ninja loot or other bad behavior. To prevent long lasting consequences from bad behavior that would make grouping harder in the future.
It removes a reason people try to have a decent reputation (yes not everyone cares about this, but there is a reason a lot of server discords have blacklists in some form).
To say rdf has no downsides it ither out of absolute ignorance or being intentionally intellectually dishonest.

The reality is groups are treating each other as single serving friends already.

Yeah it’s pretty sad that people can’t make friends in game if RDF is in the game.
Or more accurately thinking that everyone who pugs with you is suddenly your BFF.

They’re part of my community. I’m part of theres. My server is great and we don’t need rdf. We’re good.
It effects everything. No point in going out and questing or doing anything if you can level and gear safely and lazily from capital.

The lack of rdf doesnt create meaningful interactions, but it does encourage it. With rdf there isnt even an encouragement to have a social interaction because doing so has no effect on your ability to group later with the people from other realms. Without rdf you can meet a tank and add them to friends list and group with them again later. With rdf you get a tank from another realm and you could add their real ID to friends list, but you still cant group with them again unless someone changes realms. Which is far less likely to happen than someone making a friend on their own realm and play with them.
