Blizz gives players tabbards and dungeon rep.
Players: this is TOO MUCH. I feel FORCED to do the things nonstop.
Blizz gives WQs and emissaries to players in small bites.
Players: this is TOO GATED and slow. Give tabbards and dungeon rep.
Blizz gives players tabbards and dungeon rep along with WQs and emissaries.
Players: I am out of the things to do. Game boring.
Or
Players: I get so little rep from doing so many things (since Blizz has still limited it to stretch things) that it sucks. Itās all taking way too long and I hate being forced to run dungeons until I puke to make it crawl faster.

The problem isnāt the world quest framework. The problem is that the quests are relatively uninteresting and the reward is inadequate to motivate people to want to do them.

People would still cry hell you get most of the rep needed from getting to 120 and a handful of emissaries.
I donāt speak for you nor would I care to speak for you. I speak for myself, a person with limited time to spend in this game, yet still I have 5 max level characters and all of them benefit from the unlock of one.
Theyād be replaced with āIām bored! Give us more content!ā complaints.

Iād quit complaining about pathfinder if they took out the ridiculous time gate.

Agree with the op. Allow me to decide what content i do for rep gain.
Doing only wq to farm rep after ive finished the story and quests isnt fun.
WQ works better as a side distraction from what i want to doā¦not as the primary means of spending my time in game.

Whatās wrong with that?
If people want to spam dungeons all day long for Paragon Reputation to earn that toy or mount, who cares?

The rep part isnāt the problem, itās the massive time gate. IMO, the only thing pathfinder does is generate an environment where itās more beneficial to buy the expansion a year out than at launch. Not only can you level and grind out the required reps all at once, the various catchup mechanics mean you will never be behind on gear. Itās the stupid year long gap thatās the problem, not the reputations.

Concern was golden inflation. Though already discussed possible solutions for that above already.
I never said that back when I got flying at max level. Itās hard to burn through already time gated content.

You are the winner! This has been the problem since WoD. Quest rewards are bad, Rep per quest completed are bad. Gear rewards are bad. Profession mat rewards are bad.
Gaining AP/Apexis,etc and the million other worthless currencies at a glacial pace are all not interesting.
Gold rewards from world quests are sad. So bad that people were still farming legion gold quests in BFA, because they had access to flying which made it more efficient gold/hr till that was nerfed.
Rep is gained too slow for anyone to care and the rep vendors donāt offer anything of true value that you can use (eg gear).
Gear rewards are all RNG and limited based on stat allocation.
The entire system is a mess so when you tie patchfinder to bad systems by default it makes patchfinder bad.
I want them back regardless of the pathfinder discussion.
I loved running a string of dungeons and gaining rep the whole way.
Did it the other night on my dwarf. Got him to 120 in av and was so excited to start the heritage quest only to find I was 2000 points shy of exalted.
Popped my tabard on and blew threw 3 heroics in Warlords.
Then I fell asleep. Fun times.

I would stop complaining about Pathfinder if they removed the year-long wait, and the reputation requirements. If you had it linked to the Explorer and Loremaster achievements, that would be acceptable. But I still would rather just throw cash at it.

Probably not. None of the actual requirements of Pathfinder are hard, TEDIOUS yes but not difficult. The real issue is the 8+ month spitegate. If blizz wanted to boost pre-orders and stop the complaints all they have to do is make PF1 give flight in the launch zones upon completion. The PF2+ for each new zone.

It almost seems like the solution is to do all of those things instead of forcing a highly diverse playerbase into a single one of themā¦

Would be willing to remove paragon chests to have rep tabards again, tbh.
No need for that. Just cap rep per week. Problem solved.
I am not in favor of the old reputation tabard system but I do think that instance should reward reputation based upon their locations.
Someone has a graph of who had what, 75% of people have part 1 and 50% of people had part 2. So there is big chuck whom donāt complete both.
