The issue with Pathfinder is the absurd time gating
I think they both lead to frustration both the time gating and rep requirements take a lot of fun out of the game.
People out doing wqs in the world is good gameplay
I would be OK with this. I never liked wearing a tabard but i did and used to grind the crap out of dungeons back in cata.
How? I would totally prefer them over the current garbage of a system.
Agree with OP. I donât mind rep grinds, I just hate farming WQs. Itâs the most boring content in the game. Let me do something fun.
Isnât there some kind of token that lasts one hours that you can buy from the factions vendor near where the mission tables are in BfA?
I wish there was a way I could farm rep, make my own token, and sell it on the AH for game gold. Some people actually like to farm reputation and they could help other players who donât have the time or desire, and make money doing it.
It just seems like the rep grind in BFA is really slow and boring. I swear it felt faster in Legion.
Iâd rather run dungeons wearing a tabard for reputation than doing countless world quests. Mainly because it would mean one could play on their own schedule, rather than being forced to check in daily on what quests/emissaries are available.
Thatâs because world quests were something new in Legion, and we had artifact weapons with Mage Tower skins to collect, and so on.
Yeah the Mage tower and Artifcat weapons did make a big difference. The grind for the Heart of Azeroth just feels kinda pointless.
Perhaps a new way entirely to earn reputation can be thunk up.
I kinda wish just running normal or heroics gave some rep. Itâs an incentive to run them since there really isnât much use for running them now.
Theyâre really only a slight stepping stone and augment rune vendor.
I can see everyone doing pathfinder 1 so they can fly , but pathfinder 2 is a bit too much . I feel like Iâm going through Maw just so I and everyone else can fly .
Pathinder is fine. Unlock it on your main and all your alts have it. If thereâs any max level people without pathfinder unlocked this late in the xpac they just donât want it.
Well horrors. People would be voluntarily playing the game. We canât have that, now can we?
This argument fails though. Just because I have pathfinder doesnât mean it is âfineâ. Just because someone doesnât want it doesnât mean it is âfineâ. In fact us saying we have done it and dislike, and those who refuse to do it is a very good argument for it not being âfineâ.
At this point those of us who have played this game since launch of the game (or at least BC) have put in hundreds of hours regaining flight after all the expansions. PF and grinding out reps is boring and tedious. I would prefer not having to spend another 20 or so hours next expansion to get flight again.
Itâs time to recognize flight for what it is. A shortcut around this largely boring world. We get the same story regardless of flight or not. The world though, is boring. Not being able to fly is a handicap for those of us who prefer dungeons and raiding.
Iâm not surprised if a raider says that a significant portion of their raid doesnât have PF. Raiders log in for what they enjoy, raiding. Killing trivial mobs that they can round up by the dozens with the largest effort being figuring out how to keep them together and not breaking the mobs leash is not entertaining. I donât like doing trivial quests that are boring and monotonous just so that making the trips from dungeon to dungeon and from town to raid.
People complaining about pathfinder exposes how boring the gameâs world has gotten. That the only real reason to log in is raids and dungeons. People who log in for doing WQs and dailies may find it cathartic or something, I donât knowâŚ
While many of us just want to kill some mobs in a raid and a dungeon and log out of the boring world.
pathfinder is fine
Nothing about Pathfinder is fine. If Pathfinder was fine, people wouldnât have been complaining about it for 3 expansions now.
Tabards would be nice, removing the delay between part one and two would be better.
But the complaining wouldnât stop. People on the forums only come here to complain. About everything.
