Want to Multibox, but don't know the rules

NO!!

It’s the same damn thing… Regardless if it’s “R” or mouse button 5, it’s STILL ONE button…

Alt-Tab is TWO buttons.

C’mon… Rule lawyering much now?

You will never get that.

Why?

You get banned for whatever reason. The first thing you’ll do is try to use this thread as a get out of jail free card.

Again nothing I’ve stated is automated I am using the keybinds my windows has put on alt-tab. A keystroke lead to my PC doing an action.

Please do answer my question if you can, if I had two applications of world of warcraft up and keybinded my spell to alt-tab would that be considered streamlining ?

You won’t get that.
If you have to ask, assume the safest answer is to just not try it.

I want to note that pretending to not understand the rules and trying to rules lawyer will not stop your accounts from getting actioned again if you continue to violate the streamlining rules. You are violating them, and everything you proposed would be a violation. Take the advice or don’t take it, nothing that’s said here will have any impact on future account actions. This is just people telling you what not to do. You won’t be able to point to this thread and say “unban me”.

I did answer it. The answer is no. Do not do what you are planning to do.

Or do and enjoy getting banned.

And I think people really are trying to help you out here.

You risk getting banned if you try to be clever and get around the rules. There’s no loophole with this. There’s no magic phrase you can say that will make it 100% in the clear.
Just don’t do it, or you risk your account.

Indeed, that is an option too. Not one I would select, but it is an option certainly!

Sorry to be clear. Are we all saying

If I use the keybinding right now Alt+Tab on my account as a keybind casting a spell and have a second application of world of warcraft this is considered streamlining ?

I’ve given all the help I can. OP being unwilling to comprehend something because they don’t like it is no longer my problem.

How. Are. You. Changing. Between. The. Windows?

Because what you wrote is missing a lot of things in-between, and really isn’t clear.

Outline the exact sequence (although I’m sure the answer will be the same).

Sorry but I am trying to understand the rules and giving examples of how I want to engage with the game and seeking advice.

This is my process to determine how to best approach this. You don’t have to post at all, you are more than welcome to help me work shop this.

And we have given our answers to all the examples you’ve provided.

We all are.

You just keep pushing and pushing.

Now it seems you are deliberately being obtuse, mixing terms and names of things to try to once again bend the rules to suit yourself.

Do whatever OP. I’m out.

First of all, no player can provide you with an accurate or binding answer. We do not work for Blizzard, and players can tell you it’s fine or not fine but ultimately it’s still your responsibility to follow the rules.

And no Blizzard representative is likely to give you an answer either.

my alt-tab has been remapped to R.

This is his proposal outlined above. He would hit R to have it cast the spell and switch window focus. Then hit R again to have it repeat so a fast mashing of R would rotate through his instances of WoW and cast for him.

  1. Application 1: I hit R, Fireball is casted on keystroke, my operating system then calls for the functionality of alt-tab. Application 2 is now focused application.
  2. Application 2: I hit R for the second time, this is now casting fireball.

Hitting R to have it cast AND switch focus is automation - two actions in one keystroke.

That most certainly breaks the rules and streamlines the process.

And to put forward how the windows accessibility setting is also automation: that is not currently available on MacOS without 3rd party software.

My key-binding on 5 applications for fireball is alt+tab in my key-bindings.
I hit alt-tab on my applications one by 1, each one will cast fireball. Is this considered stream lining ? @Mirsaol, can you give your take if you think this is automation then ?

Just using the key that’s already set up as window focus as a keybinding ?

Well this really is the core issue, I really have no clear guidelines of where streamlining comes into play. I can’t change my alt-tab according to this forum/post. I can’t do anything to multi-box effectively as would be impossible to click all 5 manually with a mouse safely in hardcore.

Again nobody has to get involved with this conversation, I am hoping I can get somebody to give me advice on one of my tickets to Blizzard. As everybody here has given some infromation to point 1, but none to 2 and 3 and 4.

Will repost just incase somebody has answers for the below

  1. Am I allowed to use the add on Mama ( I asked if this was a contributing factor and still don’t know ) and dynamic boxer. Can addon’s lead to bans ?

  2. I have a main account with every collector’s edition and extremely happy I didn’t get that account banned even more so with the above response after being a 20 year customer. If I do this again, is it okay for me to just use a second account entirely as clearly the rules are a bit difficult and vague and don’t want to risk my main account being banned. Or would my computer be considered a repeat offender and all accounts attached to my PC get banned ?

  3. is there any means/support to get my setup approved to prevent this kind of thing occuring again ?

You already know the answer to this, and if you don’t then you should just not multibox.

I literally don’t, are you saying this is as the above answer states it is ?

So technically if I have two applications of wow running and happen to use alt-tab as a key binding that could be bannable ?

Around and around and around in circles. Over and over…
