depends what you mean, I love darker stories but yes I do get bothered it’s always the horde that suffers the tragedy. Would be nice to see Anduin die.
He’s probably emo enough to do some self sacrifice so you might get your wish.

They should start it off with the earthen dwarves wanting a sacrifice like Negan did in the walking dead before they let us go down there.

I loved, loved loved! Negan. Best villain of all times imho. Guy was a superstar and a model of what villains should be. I even liked the guy when he took a baseball bat to my favorite character and merged his head into the cement.

I liked both characters he hit a home run with and it’s pretty much when I lost interest in the show.
I feel you, can be difficult losing a favorite character but going into a show like The Walking Dead you have to go into it knowing all characters are open market for death even the main characters. Getting too attached to any of them is a mistake, because its likely they will die and then you won’t like the show anymore.
Doesn’t matter to me if the story is light or dark, just as long as it is good. The story for the last few expansions have been pure garbage.

I’d rather see him deal with his problems and survive.
Not really a great message to have a character clearly going thru some trauma just to die off.

It’s a video game, it doesn’t need subtext and messages. Thats the problem with the current story model. Too much of that.
