Dark or lighthearted, good story is good story. The problem was the pendulum swinged too quickly and far in the opposite direction, we went from the maw straight to disney land. At least shadowland lore pissed me off, but sadly I’m completely indifferent to DF lore.

Maybe possible. I feel it’s often ignored when we have moments of helplessness or gore although that might be from a different expectation.

I’m a huge edgelord and my media tastes are varied in those connected genres. I see very few people asking for “darker” themes actually touch on what makes a story dark.

However, I find Pippi Longstocking who can’t even stay in dragon form to be silly beyond belief.

I just wish that WoW would go back to their MoP era. The story was pretty solid. Even class design was at it’s peak.
