State of low level BGs is pretty shocking. I’m currently leveling up an alt; I started queueing for BGs the moment I hit level 18.
Now at level 64 while taking a break to level professions, I got my very first BG queue pop in ~20 hours of gameplay, queued the entire time. I zoned into a game where literally every single character other than me was a bot.
So just a heads up, Blizzard.

Please excuse the hideous UI, I was in the middle of overhauling it. I was in the queue for so long that I forgot I was even in it.
So using this bot program, they get stuck on this stump for a bit, and slowly do some stupid random movements to try and unstuck (which they eventually do, if you let them).

The only thing they do is sit at the base of the enemy graveyard and camp whoever spawns. The DKs bots on my team were just sitting there getting murdered:

At the end, I was able to prevent them from winning. There was one single hunter bot that was running flags the entire game in a straight line. I was able to one-shot it half the time because its gear was either so low-level, or it was perhaps destroyed. And then AoEing down the rest of the bots at the stump took just seconds at a time. The one DK bot on my team running flags won.
I cleared tbcc in like 2.5 hours a night for 2 nights. 5 hours total for the other now leveling Paladin. Quests and rdf.
You can get that honor for the 4k cap in the 80 to 84.9 wg. Just be prepared to see 10 on 10 matches there. Or close to that. Offense wins there way more often. When defense goes whole team tower kill you literally steamroll into the door.
These are all paying customers and are valued by Blizzard. The Blizzard team does not have the resources to do something effective against bots and even if they would, why should they want to lose money? Most disappointed players keep playing regardless.
Were you also queuing dungeon finder? That seems to pause the BG queues.
It isn’t clear to me whether you are just complaining about bots in BGs (a fair complaint if true), or if you are attempting to bring up several points.
Are you saying the avg wait time displayed has issues? (Maybe it does. I’m just asking for some clarity here).
Anyway, I suppose you may wish to post in the customer support or bug report forums at some point after engaging in community discussion with other players here in general discussion.
People used to play random battlegrounds to level up back when twinks had their own queue and the bgs gave good xp.
Unfortunately blizzard gave into twink crying and combined queues. Next all normal players quit as playing against twinks and getting reduced xp means it’s a total waste of time. So now all bgs are only filled with twinks and bots.
And with cata’s mob setup being full brutal is not the really nice to have it used to be.
Or you can find decent deals on crafteds. when my 70 was 69 I had whatever the tbcc dungeon runs gave.
I 70’d in UK. And my char had the 70 crafteds from a AH run at good prices in the bag for a real fast costume change mid dungeon.
But yeah its the twinks. We don’t have to meet them anymore. Blizzard should have had a separate setup for xp off people.
end of tbcc and wrath lacked this. So it left not level cap pvp with a bad taste to some people. Me included, and I like pvp. Its just its At level 85 its liked.
A soon 85 is honor capped. with 3 wg quests to turn in for spare rounds in chamber. She will get 3 pieces of pvp gear in minutes of the ding.
I even have her gems, enchants and even the basic 333 or maybe 346 BOE weapon if not omg priced in the bank already. The 85 gear up has started before it started lol. Tol barad awaits for side crap at 85 if dungeon RNG sucks.
I warned about how splitting up the brackets would inadvertently kill it. So instead of 10-19, 20-29 etc. It’s 10-14, 15-19, literally x2 less people in each bracket. Only 80-84 should be 4 levels, (which it even isn’t, it’s 81-84 for some reason with level 80s placed in their own bracket.)
I’m of the mind that real players do whatever is fun. /shrug
For much of that time, but there were plenty of periods in between where I would pause the dungeons for various reasons. Not one queue pop until level 64.
I’m here primarily to report the bots. The time I waited for the queue is just a cherry on the sundae. Like, I waited for hours and this is what I was greeted with.
Throughout my entire time leveling, the displayed wait time has been fairly normal for about 50% of the time (15-30 minutes), and the other 50% it says “Unavailable”, which I took to mean some unknown amount of time probably over an hour.
Yeah, I was honestly quite amazed that they did that. Even with Activision Blizzard’s nearly perfect and consistent track record of disappointing decisions, I cannot for the life of me understand why they would undo the good decision to separate twinks from alts. Absolutely ridiculous.
Yeah, it’s funny, I had originally made a really long and detailed thread requesting that Blizzard adjust heirloom gear so it isn’t quite so oppressive in low level PvP, since you can achieve a fairly decent amount of twink power with extremely little investment using heirlooms. The instant I saw the brackets combined, I realized that my already unlikely suggestion was just a complete waste of time. Not only did they not care about making low level PvP a tiny bit more balanced and fun, they didn’t care if they literally destroyed it for the vast majority of people.
