Wait for the actual evidence before you judge

while I detest that phrase, men should be men, women should be women…and both need to learn to treat each other as EQUALS, not OBJECTS in whatever regard that many do.

Where the wife worked a local manager killed herself with a gun IN the branch she managed during the day.
The chump district manager over her who she named by name as helping cause her to start feeling suicidal was still working there for some time, being ignored and allowed to continue his reign of misogynistic terror for probably two full years before he was finally fired.
And if memory serves, they fired him for entirely different problems he created. I dont think they were even taking the suicide incident into account much, if at all.

$100 says WHEN the evidence is all out there they will continue to deny anything happened and continue to make up joke excuses for the guilty parties.

Not to mention Afrasiabi quietly resigning in June 2020 – something I didn’t know until I read commentary about the lawsuit. That’s, what, halfway through the state investigation?

again, that’s a very broad brush. Some folks don’t want to invest into something that turns into a Jussie Smollet or Swiftly situation.

There’s a lot of things that make sense but opens more questions.

There’s a lot of things that can be done with falsified statements (There was a former animator that started a firestorm all because a guy in his workplace was dating his crush.)

and falsly accusing people for driving a person to suicide is also as bad too (Remember the SU issue)

Jesus HP Christ.
Smollet is ONE man making an accusation…and WHEN the INVESTIGATION happened it turned out he was LYING, lmao.
After apparently TWO YEARS of STATE legal professional investigating in THIS scenario theyre bringing a case…this is NOTHING like the smollet hoax. Not one whit.

Seeing that this is a state that has come forth with these allegations after undergoing two years of investigation, it’s not quite the same as a civil case.

Edit: Not to say Blizzard isn’t “innocent until proven guilty,” because they have that same right as individuals do. It’s going to be rough for them, though.

Stop defending the multi billion dollar megacorp. Just stop.

This is a very good point actually.

Generally I do give people the benefit of the doubt. In this case, it isn’t so much a matter to me as to whether certain events happened. But whether you can hold other people and an entire company responsible for them

But you are correct that Blizzard has set a standard of guilty once accused. So we should hold them to that.

The process of discovery allows for requesting all communications, including personal emails, official memos, etc. The state wasn’t looking at just interviews.

Quinton Flynn was never proved innocent. He was never charged with anything. He went to court to get a restraining order against the girl who was gathering and publishing accusations against him, and the judge granted the order.

That doesn’t “prove” anything, legally.

and that lie was enough to shake up people’s trust and belief. Things like that, no matter the situation, harms actual alegations.

also just because the state investigates doesn’t mean it’s absolute. State investigations make errors and and some can be overzealous over crimes that happened years ago.

In Blizzard’s response, they mentioned that they fully cooperated by supplying internal company documentation throughout the investigation. So if the state is alleging a pattern of discrimination against female employees, that means that they ran the numbers on Blizzard’s actual HR records to find a pattern of discipline, involuntary transfers, termination, layoffs, lack of hiring and lack of promotion of female employees.

You know its BAD if a State lays the hammer on someone. Not some group of a few individuals.

blah blah blah…
ONE mans LIE that was proven to be a lie IMMEDIATELY is NOT the same as a TWO YEAR investigation where a case is then brought by the STATE.

especially when its a big tech cash cow. lol.
the last thing CA needs is to be ticking off silicon valley or anyone even that field without a VERY good reason.

Politicians rarely make long term decisions, lol. They are just like Blizzard looking for short term wins at the expense of the long term when they will no longer be around.

and in reality every single one of us posting here believes it was happening and we ALL know it.
To what extent is the only real question here.
Im sorry but I dont believe even the whitest of knights on this forum is so naive as to think there are multiple cases of some impropriety and they are all lying…
Sorry guys…aint buying it.

Exactly. I don’t know a single female who hasn’t experienced sexual harassment in the workplace (and anywhere else really), myself included. It’s par for the course for most women. “Innocent until proven guilty” is all well and good, but unless you’re either a massive incel or living under a rock, it is hard to deny that these allegations are more likely than not to be true.

Ahhh yes. Let’s shame anyone who doesn’t agree with you. Ad hominems are the foundation of any strong argument.
