Wait... could Druid be next?

Yea true, but i dont think thats has important has totems or forms. Blizz has a rep for taking the easiest path out

Theyā€™d have to actually put in work and add customizations for all races as far as druids go. So no, I donā€™t think itā€™s next in the slightest. They canā€™t even make customizations for druids practically and you think theyā€™re on the cusp of making druid all racesā€¦nah.

Someone said in another thread, might have been Emit, that they might be a talking point for the next xpac.

Makes sense to me.

As a druid main for 10+ years, I will attempt to s**t a brick if they do druid classes next.

Iā€™d like to have Fel Green as an option for a DID Warlock. Also fel green hands for the Nightborne Warlocks.

Possibly, but classes that require unique assets like Paladin, Shaman and Druid would take longer for them to do.

The only unique assists a paladin needs is different colored armor on an already existing mount.

They donā€™t even have to give them two mounts since thatā€™s how they handled Zandalari, DID, dwarves and LFD.

I will cry tears of pure happiness if this happens. Iā€™ve wanted Belf Druids & Shamans for so damn long

Iā€™d be real curious to see what a Pandaren Paladin would get. Would it be a Dragon Turtle since thatā€™s their racial mount? Or would it be a Shao-Pan tiger since I would imagine their Paladins being members of the Shado-Pan.

Every raceā€™s charger was just a golden, shiny version of their racial mount except for Blood Elves and Lightforged Draenei. B.Elves got a red version of the Human charger and LFD got a shiny talbuk instead of another Elekk seeing how the Lightforged Felcrusher already pretty much looks like a Paladin mount.

Only if they can get away with it, like the color swap for the DID and Dwarf Ram. Undead for instance would need a unique charger.

Also, they gave Lightforged a unique talbuk later on so Iā€™m guessing that may have been a budget or time restraint issue.

EDIT: While theyā€™re at it, theu should take the opportunity and update human and BE chargers. Those poor things look ancient at this point.

Eh, they could be real lazy and just make it a golden version of the Vicious Skeletal Warhorse. Replace the Horde insignia with the ā€œLā€ of Lordaeron :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I doubt it unless they plan to just copy and paste the forms from night elf for the alliance and troll for the horde. If they plan to make all new forms then itā€™ll be last and probably be paladin, shaman then druid once warlock is finished.

Replace Void Elf by Human and we are good

Iā€™m pretty confident that Druid will be dead last due to asset work.

The order of proliferation I foresee for the rest of the classes is:

  • Shaman - This oneā€™s easy and Dragonflight has set the stage for it. In many cases totem assets can be shared with minor modification. For example, Lightforged could use the same totem models as standard Draenei but be a different color and/or have light themed visuals attached. Similar totem asset ā€œsharing with slight modificationā€ can be done for Gnome/Mechagnome Shaman, Void/Blood Elf Shaman, Night Elf/Nightborne Shaman, etc so that would end up saving time and resources.

  • Paladin - Lore issues aside, the only art assets needed would be the Paladin mounts, and in most cases Blizzard can take an existing mount in the game and slap some Light-themed bells and whistles on it rather than make something from Scratch. If Blizzard wants to get fancy to make things seem more lore friendly, a color swap of Paladin spells easily addresses the less lore friendly races (e.g. Void Elves, Forsaken, Magā€™har) and doesnā€™t require much in the way of work.

  • Demon Hunter - Here we need more time and resources since several of the races will need race-specific demon forms. Void Elves and Nightborne can use the Bloof Elf and Night elf demon forms, Orc/Magā€™har can share a demon form, Draenie/Lightforged could share a demon form, Tauren/Highmountain can share a demon form, Gnome/Mechagnome could probably share a demon form. Other races probably need more tailored demon forms due to how their silhouettes vary. Thatā€™s why this one is second to last.

  • Druid - While Blizzard can (and probably will) take existing animal models and modify them for the new Druid races, itā€™s still going to take time just due to the sheer number needed. In some cases forms could be ā€œshared with minor modificationā€ between certain races (like Draenei/Lightforged for example), but itā€™s still going to take a significant investment of time and resources to make happen. Thatā€™s why this one is last.

Ehā€¦ Kul Tirans already introduced a ā€œdeathā€ druid aesthetic that is linked to the Shadowlands rather than the Emerald Dream, so itā€™s not as though there isnā€™t precedent.

I hope they give existing races more unique forms first

I hope Shaman is next!!

They said a while back making new druid forms would need nearly as many resources as a new expansion would. I doubt anytime soon but could happen!

I know some people would be upset but iā€™m completely ok with recycling paladin, totem, druid, lock looksā€¦
:person_shrugging:

Iā€™d rather they take their time, do 1 alliance/ 1 horde at a time and give them their special forms. The special forms MAKE Druid
