Vote kick cannot be abused

Challenge accepted.

It’s like trying to talk to the “why did i get punished for verbal when there’s a language filter” crowd. There’s no point. Can cite any number of blue posts and they just talk in circles as if it’ll change anything.

Most of the people trying to AFK are DPS from my experience. They have to wait a long time for their next que anyways when they are kicked. (At least from the hundreds of LFG dungeons ive ran the past year. Antedotcal ofc)

I just dont like people vote kicking for crappy reasons, like sure if the person is sabatoging the run, trolling, or AFK im all for the kick, but if a kick gets started for no apparent reason, i vote no. Mainly because then the person has to wait 30 mins before they can que, then another 10-15 mins for que to pop. Time is money, i’m quite sure you dont like other people wasting your time right?

Except that it never has been and never will be, at least not in a relevant sense.

Okay can you logic this out for me?

The system was created to allow people to kick other people from their group for any reason

Your definition suggests that using it the way it was intended to be used is abuse of it because any kick can cause “harm” or “unfairness”

Do you see how that’s a dumb thing to think?

Except that It’s completely different and not relevant to this at all.

Who decides what’s unjustified or malicious?

The majority in the group does.

No, more often than not, the other people in the group just blindly click ‘yes’ to get the annoying prompt off the middle of their screen. The amount of times I’ve seen the VTK prompt pop up on my screen for less than about two seconds and pass without my input is just shocking.

Who decides if it’s justified other than those voting to remove someone?

I contend that the system is working as intended as long as it allows the players to initiate a vote and submit a vote and the player either gets removed or remains. Anything else would be us trying to make a value judgment on the voracity of the issue, which is something the entire vote-to-kick system is designed to remove.

There is no reason outside the vote.

For those wondering, I don’t kick folks, and stay ‘til the bitter end on keys before disbanding unanimously. I just take issue from an academic perspective

No they don’t because clicking no gets it off the screen just as quickly

If you do this you should consider not doing this

restating what blizzard said isnt trolling, unless you think blizzard is trolling.

Unfortunately, yes. You’re subjected to what others decide, which can happen regardless of what you do.

I define as abuse any system, item or concept that’s used outside the parameters of whomever created it. If I get kicked, I may be frustrated, but that emotional response shouldn’t be used to explain why the system is bad or the vote-to-kick is bad.

Another reason to stick to delves.

Heh, yeah. That is kind of funny.

I do. You can’t possibly convince me that being able to vote kick someone for absolutely no reason (or a completely frivolous reason, like having a bad transmog) is justifiable in any way.

I’m fine with this. This is the trade off when accepting the convenience of automatic matchmaking. I trade quality - possibly - for convenience.

Now, everyone needs to decide for themselves if this is value proposition makes sense to them.

Yeah I agree, that’s why I’m not Armisian.
