Vote kick cannot be abused

as stated by a blue/blizzard, it’s not abuse of the vote kick system to kick someone for any reason or no reason at all. I am glad this is clarified again.

Good find, OP

So yeah, there we all have it. Personally i’ll only vote yes on kicking someone if they deliberately messing the group up n will continue that personal policy.

In before, “People will just blindly hit yes when it pops up!”

Yeah, they can blindly hit ‘No’ too.

While the vote-kick system was designed to give players control over their group composition, the potential for misuse still exists, as players can exploit this feature to remove others unfairly or maliciously. Just because the system allows for certain actions doesn’t mean those actions are always justified or fair.

The developer’s statement acknowledges that players can remove others for any reason or no reason at all, which inherently allows for potential misuse. There are numerous reports and discussions from players who have experienced or witnessed unjustified kicks.

Nor do people kick for no reason

Who’s to say they don’t? You?

Yeah, me.

I had to slog through dungeon after dungeon with actual disconnects that nobody wants to kick so if anything people are overly willing to not kick and I’d prefer if they were as kick happy as people here make them out to be.

Well, I hate to break it to you, but people do.

People gotta stop going afk and pulling for the tank.

Yes and many others who have experienced it.

There doesn’t have to be a reason

It’s simply the majority agreeing that they don’t want somebody in the group

Tank pulling too fast? Too slow? No damage? Ugly mog (fox in glasses)? Skipping quest items? Disconnected for 3 minutes? It doesn’t matter. The majority agrees and they’re out.

It’s funny how Blizzard can apply this logic to vote kicking, but we were “abusing” the dislike button for disliking posts that we… disliked! :joy:
