So you’re saying void corruption prevents an individual from getting a hair cut, or styling their hair, or dying it.
If you don’t want to use a hairstyle don’t use it.
But at the end of the day, more customization should not be looked at as a bad thing.
(also, nightborne need a lot more customization too but that is another topic entirely)

If I can change my gender at the barber shop, then I should be able to have any hair color I want.
As far as nightborne options for night elves… I think alliance wanted the nightborne race and was mad when they went horde. I do agree that some might like the queen azshara pre-naga look, but I don’t think that’s the same as nightborne. Nightborne npcs are what both sides wanted.

Nobody wants nightborns,
just give alliance belven model with all available classes and in a year the balance would be 90/10 aly/horde

this isnt more customization, its asking to discard a racial aesthetic for another that already exists and is playable to anyone who desires it

A racial aesthetic that literally they are descended from?

You mean like how you lost it once already when they actively took blood elves and copied their model on the Alliance and then doubled down and gave them regular skin tones, losing them further?
No. It’s obvious Blizzard wants them open on both sides and you think raging against the machine is gonna net you a win in your gate keeping the 3rd time around, sure.
Only thing anyone should be complaining about now is giving void elves different hairstyles and shades of colors so that they aren’t FURTHER turned into carbon copies of blood elves.

Here’s the thing; if Blizzard had earnestly developed the Void Elves to be visually distinct from the Blood Elves, we wouldn’t be seeing this pushback from Blood Elf players/fans who feel their racial identity is being infringed upon.
Instead, we have the (barely) Void Elves who really just encapsulate Blizzard’s unwillingness to give High Elves to the Alliance.

It’s too late to avoid the carbon copy. All their dances are the same, the way they stand, everything! If you are trying to imply that changing hair color is going to take away what’s left of blood elf identity appearance wise… that ship has already sailed.

Give the blood elves sanlayn options and the alliance the high elf look then it’s even!
Ok,in a neutral area like Oribus how would you know, who is Alliance and Horde if everyone had was the same?
Void elves should of been Void Ethereals that perfectly tie with the story that was being told at the time with Alleria, giving us a unique void race.
And Blizzard should of bit the bullet and bunkered down to create a High Elf AR that differentiates itself from the existing blood elf rig and styles, ala Kul Tirans and Zandalari who are just humans and trolls respectively who looked nothing like we know our human and troll models to look.

If they deleted void elves, killed off Aleria and Valeera, then re-added high elves, I’d be down for that.
I want blue skin and white hair for my void elf. It doesn’t bother me if someone else looks the same. WoW isn’t a game that makes characters stand out as individuals. Keeping options from players just keeps that player from being happy about their character’s appearance.
When the developers decided to create allied races instead of completely new races (vulpera being the exception, although a goblin skeleton) and then give them to the other faction, the argument that something is only alliance or only horde doesn’t work anymore.

Entirely, but that’s not a reason to literally copy blood elves, if they want to keep pretending “faction identity” is a thing then the best they can do now is start giving them different options.
Give void elves Alliance hairstyles, give blood elves horde hairstyles, there’s smaller ways to differentiate similar races without cramming them with tentacles and keeping them in one shade of color.

their unwillingness stems from wc3 where high elves left the alliance and became blood elves. just because theres 4 half assimilated elves in stormwind and boralus doesnt change anything. we all know theres nothing else behind them. they are indistinguishable from a blood elf and non existent so why would blizzard add them? you guys are just salty the option is on horde
void elves are unique from blood elves RIGHT NOW(kind of). just like night elves are unique from nightborne. we have 4 elf choices
just think about it. youre not getting a unique void aesthetic AND a plain old blood elf option(lol)

The hair color fight is about matching xmogs for me. The void elf hair colors (grey ones) are green tinged and imo look terrible with practically everything.

Void elves should have gotten actual void themed customization.
Very sad that we’re missing out on things like corruptions because of high elves. Doubt blizzard will give us anything this cool now that they already oversaturated void elf customization with blood elf options to appease the screeching.

if they bother, im sure we will see more void themed stuff
personally i think ethereal type stuff could help make them more unique. like bandages and transparent limbs where you can see the void magic that empowers them. kind of like forsaken showing bones i guess. spike protrusions like in that picture and claws ofc as well
More options are always a good thing. I like idea of void tattoos. I hope they add them someday.
