Void Elves: You are VOID, not blood

Nightborne shouldn’t get anything night elf related either. Crescents, night theme… these all belong rightfully to the Kaldorei. Nightborne should get a more withered look, it fits your racial aesthetic and theme as rebels trying to ween themselves off the Nightwell, after all.

Its a video game, not table top DnD. And an extreme casual video game at that. This is not the place for constrictive role play.

WOW will be truly epic when finally any race / class combination would be available for any faction and race abilities would be selectable.
There.

“Nobody wanted more elves” is the biggest lie I’ve ever read on this forum. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Maybe one person who says that maybe it true for but elves are the most popular. I’d still like high elves if they changed the model a little. Too much of the same model is my only complaint. Elves are cool. Change it up a little more though for goodness sake. Lol

Seriously if void elves were actually more different from the blood elf model they would probably have more fans.

Less fans, people wanted all elves to be the belven model,
alliance finally got it. There we go.
(all other elven models are uncomprehensably ugly)

That isn’t true at all to me, I think the Nightborne npc models were the best looking elves in the game.

You really thought you were doing something, huh? All you really did was show your lack of a surface level of lore knowledge.

The Nightborne are Night Elves transformed by the Nightwell. If the Kaldorei and Shal’dorei share similar motifs…it’s because they were once the same people.

Also, the Nightborne aren’t weening themselves off of the Nightwell. They are completely independent of any need for magical sustenance.

You’re welcome.

hes right about sharing themes tho. nightborne shouldnt get vine customization and night elves shouldnt get runic arcane tattoos. but at least they have a different model

Why is the horde so mad that alliance got void elves (a copy of blood elves with tentacles and a random void proc) that in no way is an acceptable high elf?

Adding hair colors isn’t going to change the void elf into a high elf Paladin or take away their voidform. Alliance is never getting their high elves. You can’t compromise on at least white and black hair?

As someone who plays both alliance and horde, I would rather people focus on the customization they want for their characters instead of arguing about what customization other races shouldn’t have. A good example is adding a silver tiara option for my blood elf. Seriously, it should match with the silver jewelry options.

Of course. The visual themes of the Night Elves and Nightborne, despite sharing similar cultural motifs like revering the stars and moon, could not be more different.

That being said, you won’t find Nightborne players asking for leaves and vines in their hair, but you will absolutely see Night Elf players asking for customizations more in line with a regal, Highborne identity.

I’m sorry but what about being a Void elf should dictate my HAIRSTYLE? Color maybe, ok. But the style? I am literally a Blood elf that went void so wouldn’t that mean I’d have the same capabilities to style my hair?

I’ve never seen anyone asking for night elves to get nightborne options. If anything, nightborne have our sympathies.

adding normal hair colors would ruin the aesthetic of the entire race

we can already play high elves with white hair

White hair isn’t a normal hair color. Blood elf hair also has a slight blonde tinge even at its lightest color.

I really can’t believe how selfish the community is. Why is it so bad to give people options? It’s not going to have any effect on the individuality of the blood elf community. Literally you are copies of one another. None of you look unique.

Some Void Elves are only lightly void touched, and some can control their void forms, so they appear more like Alleria. In fact, Alleria is the template for the Void Elf nation.

What we want next is body jewelry, like the Blood Elves have.

if you hear whispers and bleed blue blood you are not ‘lightly void touched’

Except now void elves have normal skin colors. So I suppose that argument doesn’t work anymore. Void in=blue, when it’s over, normal skin color. I guess the lore is indicating we can control it now.

you are free to rp your void elf anyway you want

:open_hands:

You might want to take a second look. Night Elf players, who had been requesting the Highborne Night Elves to feature more prominently, were shown a glimpse of a perfectly preserved representation of a regal, Highborne Night Elf fantasy through Suramar and the Nightborne, and to their lament, it all went to the Horde.

You can say what you want about the way the playable Nightborne look, but that’s just a reflection on Blizzard’s poor, rushed work in releasing the playable model

The new customization options disagree with you, either we’re now able to devoid like Alleria (Leader of the Void Elves who is blonde) or the new options mean we’re not “OG” void elves.

Either way more hairstyles and colors is lore friendly :man_shrugging:.

Also, dyeing hair and combs exist, imagine gate keeping hair because you believe faction identity is still a thing.
