Void elves can look like blood elves but not vise versa

I kindly request that you refrain from your hostility towards others. If there’s anyone that should reexamine the lore, that individual would be you. I have lots and lots of resources I can provide for you, or you may simply scan the necessary wowpedia articles. Don’t forget to continue your support for void elves getting the blood elf hair styles and colors, we welcome you into our circle and are ecstatic to have you.

Frankly, I don’t care what you think. You can try to bully all you want.

It is the go-to tactic for almost the entirety of that side. Ergo, It’s very heartbreaking to see, but thankfully they are just a minority compared to the amount of amazing people that want to see these requests released. Ergo, this is why the report feature exists as to ensure toxicity doesn’t spread and harm us. We all want to see it happen, and the fits they throw will not stop it. I’m proud of our community, keep up the lovely work. It’s only a matter of time when the next expansion releases and we are showered with loads of new options for all races, ergo allowing everyone to be happy.

I mean, male blood elves got the beard/mustache options from male void elves so it’s not all one-sided. Dunno about the females of both races since I only play males, maybe someone else could chime in for that.

Also didn’t say those hair colors have to be the same shade as blood elves, could be different ones.

This part is interesting because from the link I posted it shows Blizzard’s art team didn’t consider Blood Elves fully High Elves, just ‘closest’. And they say these options were added so players could choose which fantasies they wish to play out - this includes the options added to Blood Elves.

I think the biggest disappointment with Void Elves for me is…they didn’t stick with the sick echoing booming voices we had before, and even when they did have them our laugh/roar is basically the BE one…I was hoping for like dubbed anime Vasto Lorde Ichigo’s roar or something similar:

I really don’t even see the point of arguing about what shades of hair color who gets anymore. What does it matter that blood elves get a lighter shade of blue hair than void elves? It just seems counterproductive to giving players more options. Have a RGB wheel for all hair colors of all races and be done with it.

One of the few disappointments for me was making entropic embrace a passive rather than making it mimic the worgen transformation ability. That, and of course the lack of blood elf options that should have been given to void elves right away. Like the obvious skin and hair options but also jewelry options too.

I’m a fan of the deeper voices tbh

Blood elves should never get light customizations… They are not lightforged!

So you want entropic embrace on 24/7 then? Worgen transform is annoying to keep off since the addon was broken in cata

Oh I’m not actually arguing, just replying with statements - I agree there’s no arguments to be made on the topic. To me it’ll get added eventually.

I just hope it doesn’t take 16 years like it took for NEs to get black hair

I’m not aware of the addon you’re mentioning. I just think entropic embrace should have worked the same way it does with alleria/worgen where it’s activated during combat. And it’d allow void elves control over when they want to show their normal options and void options during roleplay.

Here the thing though.

Playable Void Elves are not Alleria.

Nah, I think I like it better when the VE don’t have control over entropic embrace, it shows them struggling trying to control the void then not. Also I don’t want to be pitch black all the time

This.

Jewelery options should be shared across the two, just colour locked to keep faction aesthetics in place. Bronze and purples for Void Elves, Red and Golds for Blood. Fel Green/Blue shared between the two.

If we get tattoos though, blue and red need to be faction exclusive.

Leaving feedback works, and trying to drown it out by derailing every thread on the subject also didn’t work, thank god.

Me pointing this common sense fact out isn’t trolling, by the way. Nor is me just repeating the same tone given over the past 4 years. Pot meet kettle.

Maybe they should have just given you a few beard options and no skin tones then.

Yet actual devs have stated BEs are HEs and yet lore wise and visually they are you can’t say the same about VEs can you because where’s your hair options you’re begging for

The fact you consider pro HE requests feedback and disregard opposition as derailing says all we need to know about your bias, but yes thank god Blizzard sees the opposition

I’m surprised with how much fervor you seem to be against void elves getting additional high elf customizations when you seem much more out of the loop on how the decisions came about. In that interview it’s Ely Cannon speaking, but the decision was made entirely with Blizzard’s WoW team as a whole.

Ion says so here:

Rhada: I think @WatcherDev honestly knew for a while about the eye change options coming and still said it was NPCs only just to get a bit more of a laugh about it. I can say Id for sure do the same thing. Good that player agency is a priority again though.

Ion Hazzikostas: @Rhadacurth Honestly that was the plan at the time, but the game is vast, so specific questions often go unexamined while attention is elsewhere. After that interview, the team spun up a fresh conversation about BElf/VElf customization options, and the recent blog lays out where we ended up.

It’s pretty clear here since it’s “the team” and not “the art team” since you like to mince snippets it seems.

I think its very clear a conversation was had and you have no natural hair options to show for it yes. You know who does though? The actual playable HE race that is a core Horde race and theme.

Visual distinction in a faction based game a concept they have valued was maintained to some degree, and I love that.
