Void elves can look like blood elves but not vise versa

Don’t lie. Its unbecoming.

What ever helps you get through the fact you don’t have the those options I guess :hugs:

Because what we do know is that they discussed the options at length and they decided to not add hair colors because where are they? On the actual playable High Elf race. We also know this is a faction based game and that they have valued visual distinction on faction lines. And we also know you aren’t the only community in the game, BE fans and people who value the same visual distinction (a stance Blizzard also values) should be heard as well.

As for your comment “other races have these colors” nice try - other races don’t have an exact copy model. Blood Elves are High Elves and a core Horde race and Horde theme, Void Elves are Void Elves my personal advice would be coming to terms with the implications that has on your character. You’re not asking for anything new or unique the options exist and you’re asking to poach a Horde theme.

Enjoy your RP tools, and the fact that another thing that we do know is that you don’t have those hair options. I’m hoping we see Allerias model changed in the near future :hugs:

I don’t think they’re going to make her turn blue and sprout tentacles now that they already caved on normal skin colors. If you want the uniqueness of a “core horde race” you should probably focus more on making blood elves more unique and less high elves, not trying to undo what is done or vainly trying to stop what is likely to be done. You want red and orange eyes with pale skin for BElves? Simple. Red skin and fel customizations can already be lifted directly from demon hunters with zero effort as well.

It’s a small ask to have more blood elf themes. But as Ion said, Void elves and Blood elves are both flavors of High elves. You’re going to have to come to grips with that instead of hoping they will take away customizations for Void elves.

Blood Elves are High Elves and are a core Horde race, sorry you’re finding difficulties still accepting that.

It’s a small ask to keep visual distinction in place :hugs:

It’s been since 2005 that when Blood Elves were announced as a Horde Core Race and yet people still take issues with that, it’s kind of unreal given the timeframe but here we still are.

I for sure agree with this because we are actually the Blood Elves/High Elves and they are void tainted which is why they are Void Elves, anything else they get should be void based and void themed and it should be way after everyone else given they already got more customizations before other Allied Races that actually needed and still need more customizations.

Sorry man, that ship has already sailed.

Man, it’s almost like if something’s been a source of debate since 2005, it may be a source of debate? It’s almost like people forget how much the Horde playerbase absolutely hated Blood Elves for over 10 years, and they were the butt of jokes until Leg-

Oh wait.
I remember now why I play Alliance. I played Blood Elves and got tired of being treated like garbage for it in Cataclysm.

Also, reminder that the visual distinction Thalassian Horde elves have is their connection to the Sunwell. If you could stop asking for more edgy-goth, that’d be nice. You’re holy and fel. If you want to play a dark and broody elf, the Alliance is waiting for you.
And San’layn failed to join the Horde, so stop asking for that. You don’t even have proper NPCs for them, unlike regular Alliance High Elves. Ask for more golds/fel/light themes, or stop gatekeeping stupid stuff like hair colours.

Sure. The same as not having human skin colors on void elves before they were added to them.

They’re already on record for saying they’ve given some high elf customizations and ultimately may do more in the future, just some for now (ie as Shadowlands was coming out).

Blonde/brown/black hair color isn’t as big a distinction, again, given that every other playable race has some or all of those colors available.

According to a dev interview Ion gave several months ago, Blood Elves were originally unintended to have blue eyes in Shadowlands, but later on that decision was reversed following team discussions. If the art department was involved, what was the reasoning that led to blue eyes being added for Void Elves and Blood Elves?

This is another place where there was a race, High Elves, in the game which hadn’t really been represented on player characters. Blood Elves were the closest, but had felt green eyes. It was an opportunity where we had a number of elven races, and we could tie it back to their roots, letting players choose where they want to align and what fantasy to play out. We did have a lot of discussion about it, ultimately we might do more in the future, but for now we’re providing the option to have a few High Elf customizations available.

EDIT: added source

Well, Sylvanas could (and likely was) raising blood elves into undeath behind Lor’themar’s back. San’layn aren’t really necessary to have undead BElves. The way I see it, they gave high elf customizations to both horde and alliance. Holy and fel is where the visual distinction for BElves should be if they choose to be visually distinct. Void elves have void customizations if they so choose.

San’layn are, in my opinion, too different from either Forsaken or Blood Elves and should be their own AR.

I see no particular good reason they’d go Alliance myself.

I do want to see Dark Rangers go to the Forsaken through a model toggle though… I’m also not entirely against the idea that they’d be a thing for Blood Elves though. Its just not my preferred.

Of course not you’ve already poached everything else so hair color was left in and remains the last distinction.

Enjoy your RP tools for the actual playable HEs are available on the Horde.

Weird story.

I’ve played Blood Elves for years and never once been treated oddly because of the race I played.

I have played this Blood Elf Warlock since day one of my gaming on WoW and I still play it as my main today and I have never had this happen either, I have also never heard of it happening or seen it happening to anyone else, now if they were a Mechagnome I might actually believe it but as a Blood Elf highly unlikely.

I think this is what really bothers that side is that we have the actual race with all the actual customizations and they don’t and it’s not enough they have most of it they want all of it, yet they don’t like to think Blizzard had more than one chance to give Void Elves natural hair colors but they chose not to and it’s like did they ever think there’s a reason for that like that Blizzard don’t want Void Elves to have them.

Can’t we get over this silly misconception already.

Why would Blood Elves have green blood option? Demon Hunters and Blood Elves are definitely not the same thing. The former ate demon flesh, took a demon inside of themselves, they are hardcore fel people even more so th an Felblood Elf.

Blood Elves DID NOT siphon fel, Blood Elves DID NOT eat demon flesh. What Blood Elves did do, was trapping demon souls in their Burning Crystals which they used to power the floating structures you see in Quel’thalas. Fel permeates an area like radiation and this resulted in elves who spent time in Quel’thalas or in Outland getting green eyes.

Felblood Elves did not rejoin their people, they are dead. Done.

If anything, Void Elves should not have gotten customization options at all. At a later date, as blizzard first stated that allied races would not get additional customization option. And once allied races were to get customization options, Void Elves should have more void options, not more Blood Elf options.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Well, void elves did get more customization.

Go for it!!.. for your Void Elves.

Please keep that menace from the Blood Elf toons, tyvm. We already have enough “lul, Bluud Elves are nothing but superficial Barbies” jokes in-game, we don´t need more of those.

I didn´t, ergo guess what I just did?

If anything, I´d love for the crown on the latest haircut for fem Belves to become detachable from the haircut per se (I mean I loved to recognize it was the closest thing to Ciri´s haircut from the Witcher III: The Wild Hunt game; but I hated the fact the crown ruins it).

Not after Legion indeed, though personally as both a Horde player AND a lore fan I profoundly despise the fact that “nation” went back to play the “we´re neutral but only in paper” BS game. Cause this means that the lazy Blizzard devs WILL default to the overrated Kirin Tor in any magical development that could impact the Horde while the Horde proper elf races AND the other Horde races continue to be ignored as far as development in that thematic is concerned.

Hopefully the devs actually implement customizations that are coherent to the current lore, not the ridiculous suggestions made by people that haven´t even bothered to check decades old lore AND that embarrass themselves with baseless suggestions for the lols.

/facepalm

Talking about people that haven´t had the decency of checking decade+ old lore…

Exhibit A, people.

Blizzard Entertainment has NEVER made public statistical data related to playerbase population, the most they used to do was said “we have x million subscriptions active” and that was it.

Ergo, ALL those old “arguments” saying X or Y faction were more popular? Basically wild speculation taken from third party sites, but nothing truly verifiable nor much less concrete.

I¨LL REPEAT: why do I have to be the “better person” when they aren´t? Better yet, why do I have to bother with a “problem” that is basically NOT a true verifiable problem but nothing but wild speculation used for players to achieve a personal agenda?

To put it in terms, dude, nothing is for free. If you people pretend to USE ME to achieve your fancy “let´s clone a race I like but on the faction I prefer cause yuck Horde!!”, then you AT THE LEAST should offer payment. Cause I have NO obligation to even bother with you nor much less devote my time to fix problems you guys created in your minds.

Dude… you guys already have the vehicle to attract the casual “elf looks better than a human”, it´s called “Void Elf racial model”. I know you literally REFUSE to read the words, but have you ever considered that NO real problem actually exists and you guys just try to basically gaslight us into helping you achieve your goal of cloning one of our races?

We would like this process to be actually relevant and meaningful, not some copout designed by people like you -who basically haven´t bothered with even checking Belf lore and that just want to reduce the race to “Lightforgen Fel infested monstruosities”-, period.

Dude, I´ll tell you just one time: if you don´t care over the Belf race, that´s perfectly ok. Do the decent thing and please don´t make the terribad suggestions you have been making the whole thread just because you want to “look good” towards your Helfer buddies, tyvm. I appreciate more if you take a more honest approach and let us ask for our stuff instead of bloating the thread with nonsense.

That was an obvious “you/player” problem, just look at how terribly rude he/she has been on this thread. Not even me acts so blatantly antagonistic 24/7, ffs.
