Void Elf Paladin - This NPC Needs Fixing

My headcannon was that when they introduced the idea everyone was getting every class that cannonically ve paladins would be void knights but we’d see them with light animations in game because they were too lazy to implement separate animations. It was to explain lf draenei shadow priests as well.

This just shows they don’t care and i gave another example of them not caring.

Priests aren’t purely light, they are light and shadow. And we don’t have any lore example of a VE Holy Priest, it only works in game because Blizzard never restricted specs.

As I have stated twice now, Alleria is not a normal Void Elf.

She absorbed the ENTIRE BEING of a fallen naaru.

They have not one single time in any piece of media, stated that void elves other than Alleria can’t wield the light.

And she’s a void elf. Void can’t yield light.

It’s you who made up a headcanon, don’t accuse people of what you do.

Canon is, she can touch her husband, just not while wielding or embracing the Void.

That’s why I’m curious to see how they expand on the Void Elf Paladin (they were missing form Tyr’s Hand… for a reason…). They will have to expand on the Forsaken too.

She can’t, that’s what’s canon. They can’t be close to each other.

We have Manari Eredar Paladins

Lighforged Draenei shadow priests.

Who cares, gameplay =/= lore

WOW lore died when they added Blood elves into the horde.

So? We have a lore character that’s canonically a Priest wearing plate and wielding a two-handed sword.

It works in the game because Blizzard said it works in the game.

Female Night Elf Druids and Undead Priests beat that by a few years.

I swear… If blizzard doesn’t give us purple light paladins…

See A Thousand Years of War and Shadows Rising. They can touch.

No, they’ve gone on record and said Forsaken are not Holy Priests or wielding the light.

It would be bad to restrict folks from playing the whole class. They opened the door though…

Also, there’s only one PC in the whole world, so a PC character could be a pheromonal hero but there’s only one of us.

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Alonsus_Faol#As_a_champion_follower

As a Class Hall champion, Alonsus Faol is a Discipline Priest with the following abilities:

  • Discipline - Uses magic to shield allies from taking damage to counter some Bosses.
  • Leap of Faith - You pull the spirit of the friendly target, instantly moving them directly in front of you to counter a Hazard.
  • Prayer of Mending - Mission success chance increased by 5% for every troop Vitality on the mission.

He can also be assigned as a bodyguard:

Alonsus Faol — When you take damage there is a chance Alonsus Faol will appear and cast Searing Light, healing you and damaging all enemies around you.
Searing Light — Heals the target for 5% of maximum health every 1 sec.

Alonsus Faol is a unique Hero character. This is on record from Blizzard that he is unique.

You know who he is right?

A PC Forsaken may also fall in to that category as having such faith in the Light. The average Forsaken would not and their church is the Cult of Forgotten Shadows.

The parroted defense whenever something disproves one’s headcanon: “iT’S An AnOmOlY1!1”. Forsaken Priests wielding the Light existed in 2004, get over it. Also, I forgot to touch on this:

The Chronicles state that each of the raids covered so far in the timeline were defeated by different Alliance and Horde heroes (PLURAL). But let me guess you head-cannoned response: “oNlY OnE Of tHoSe hErOeS Is a pLaYeR ChArAcTeR1!1”.

I’m becoming more radioactive than a Hiroshima survivor by staying in this insane thread. Enjoy fighting a lost war. Cheers.

How does this exclude NPCs?

So who saved the class halls?

I didn’t say it was an “anomaly.” Offical Canon in 2004 was there are no Light wielding Forsaken Priests. Shoot, I healed as Shadow back then.

If you think Class gameplay are not a canon thing aren’t a thing, how come Night Elf Priests aren’t using stars etc.? Spells are Holy and not Elune? Etc.

Where’s the Troll Shadow hunters?

If you didn’t want to start any arguments, then why did you instantly say “fact” then immediately say something false.

The fact disc priests exist WITH lore to back up their existence instantly disproves your stance and “fact”.

As light cannot exist without darkness, and darkness without light, some priests tap into shadow to better understand their own abilities, as well as the abilities of those who threaten them.” - https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Priest

Troll Shadow Hunters are another good example.

The Shadow hunters are masters of voodoo and shadow magic and were once the highest authority amongst trolls, walking the line of dark and light in hope of saving the future of trollkind, doing whatever it takes to secure a future for their kin.” - https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Void

"A Void Elf using holy magic will not explode and just as Lightforged using a Void portal won’t either. In fact, the Void elf feels a tingly sensation same as a Lightforged Draenei. As seen in the book, “Shadows Rising.”

Alleria Windrunner opened a Void portal and Turalyon went through it. He felt tingly and the Lightforged Draenei felt the same. When Alleria and Turalyon interrogated an orc mother. They combined their powers to effectively discern the lie from the fiction." - https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Shadows_Rising

Tbh it’s a good idea to read wikis and check out the books before making radical posts like these. You learn a lot from those sources and it goes more in-depth than it would in-game.

No it didn’t.

It did. But at some point, the writers got lazy. How hardcore the fandom used to be was a clear example of that too. Up until they killed the LK, the writing was pretty fire. Then they had to start an entire new story. Some was good, some was bad. Recent years, mostly bad lol.

Tbh posts like this hurt the game more than anything. At least blizz can retcon. Posts like this just spread false info to people that just read these posts and believe stuff and not look it up.

Like I’d be here all day replying to all the agreeing comments with links disproving this post lol.

To be fair. WoD was asked for. People wanted to see Draenor before it’s fall.

I’ll give Quivermethis, she isn’t absolutist so if Blizzard changes things, she will go with it.

Blizzard has teased how our cosmic design and history is mostly from the Titans… so they have that in their pocket.
