Void Elf Paladin - This NPC Needs Fixing

Balance is nothing new. Trolls been doing that for awhile now, they have shadow and light spells in WC3.

It’s using them at the same time would be dangerous.

bs strawman?

They even show it in game.

It is in the arthas literature and several other paladin ceremony stories.

Why would Blizzard deny 2 specs from people just because? They’ve been on record about this, please read the thread.

Do you really think Priests of Elune (Night Elves) run around with “holy light spells”?

Bro wc3 holy light kills evey undead/forsaken its used on…

At the opening, it was like that in PvP for Forsaken. They changed it.

Ahh so lore doesn’t actually matter then? Cool.

Hmmm… I wonder why… it’s obviously not because void magic is apart of scourge necromantic magic at all…

And blizz is called out multiple times for it, and losing it’s playerbase because of it.

money talks, so it DOES matter.

Doesn’t change the fact, undead priests were an impossibility in the actual lore till they changed it.

There is absolutely zero reason not to do the same for paladins.

The whole infused with light has always been shaky at best.

No they were Shadow Priests.

It used to be a healing spec as well.

Priests also had racial flavours they got rid of too.

Name 1 undead* shadow priest in wc1-3.

Sorry forgot to undead lol.

There’s also never been anything in the lore saying that you cannot use void and light, that is commonly shown to be possible. These two just refuse to read and make things up instead.

Which two? Because I said, it’s dangerous and this has been re-enforced time and time again.

I agree with M— (The Necrolord’s Lady). She would understand and know more.

Shadow priests is a thing.

Here we go again…

I just posted a video of uther being infused by the light.

here it is again;

It was more dps with a support attached to it, it was the original vampire spec.

The church of the forgotten shadows was originally founded by forsaken before the legion ret-con. All forsaken undead priests falls under it.

And no, alonsous faol was not an original member of the forsaken, that was shoe-horned in the calia novel.

I healed on it.

I also tanked as a Shaman. I liked being the “off the beaten path.”

So you cant actually name a undead shadow priest in the lore of wc1-3. The only thing you can point at is retcons.

Which proves my point. If it can be done for a race that at 1 time DIED just by having light magic cast on them it can be done for paladins.

Hehehe, I played the reckoning 1-hand/sheild ret pally back in the day.

In wc 3, the forsaken was a hogepoge of undead, in WC the forsaken was changed to what we know of today, undead lorderoneans.

The references is within that faction itself. They created (or in recent lore ressurected) the church of forgotten shadow.

The only named charecter of the forsaken in wc3 was sylvannis if I remember correctly and a dreadlord.

If you can’t be bothered to look-up the church of forgotten shadow, what would make me think you’d click on a link I sent you, specially since you didn’t even bother to look at a video?

Heck even arthas the epitome of undeath couldn’t stand holy ground. Yet you are actually going to argue that forsaken holy/disc priests make sense?

The only reason undead priests are a thing is for shadow. Blizz even states theres no holy/disc forsaken.

So 2/3 of the class cannot exist in wow yet it does, and people say lore matters??? LOL

SO I see you are not up on your lore here. WC3 (When Undead are introduced) they are mind controlled and Sylvanas goes around freeing them and gaining back their free will.

It’s like a big part of their storyline. When WoW opened, they showed how the Forsaken had been shunned from their human brethren and developed their own Cult. They did do a retcon with Seline sorta, I’d disagree with Greatbrae here because they merely found her works which got them to start the church. In WoTLK/Cataclysm we really see them show the personality and culture growth in architecture away from “human” a lot as well. It looks kind of like Gilnean to a degree and I believe that’s why they keep tying them together.

I understand that, but none of that matters in this argument. The simple fact is forsaken cannot and never have been able to use the light.

Oh, they can, it’s just painful. But just because I can put my hand into a spinning blade, doesn’t mean I am going to do it  .
