There are no playable Alliance High Elves, and a Void Elf Paladin doesn’t make any sense.
NO PANDA PALADINS! no void elf paladins! says no to evil!
Blanket statement from Blizzard is eventually no race/class restrictions. Though High Elves don’t seem to be a formal race in the future; you’ll have to stick with blue-eyed Blood Elves (which are High Elves).
You know we already have blue eyed void elves right? Now its just the pesky racial/name tag that needs to be changed.
But it doesn’t, Void Elves are Void Elves, Alliance didn’t get actual High Elves like Horde did with Blood Elves they got void infused Blood Elves as Void Elves the racial is fitting to what they are if you/others don’t like it cancel aura it and with the name they are Void Elves so they should be called Void Elves.
We didnt. Doesnt mean cant in the future. Again, if Blizzard had wanted to shut the door on high elves they would have all of Vereesa and SC converted to void elves. They did not.
Also, the lore seems to be some high elves did become void elves. We see them in Telargus rift learning the void. Hence why we now also have blue eyed elves.
No one wants a 5th elf race when people already diluted and ruined Void Elves by making them bargain bin Blood Elves/High Elves.
That’s the whole point of having the RPing customizations you can pretend to be whatever you want to be, you don’t need the name and with as I said cancel aura you can avoid the procs from abilities thus you can pretend fully to be a so called High Elf on Alliance.
Blizzard is saving High Elves for a rainy day fund.
Clearly there are people who want it. And more importantly, if they just make it a sub option for void elves we don’t have to waste a race slot.
The same could have been said of undead night elves. But the lore was created so that now they are playable and new customization options were added as well. Having rp options is nice, having actual lore and customization options are better.
Also, we now have actual void elves with the non-void elf features as NPC. So yeah, I recall debating this with you back in SL and you said it would never happen. Well, it did.
Possibly, but considering where WoW is now that makes it more likely we will see them soon enough. Maybe an expansion or two from now?
You mean you want it because from what I’ve seen in multiple posts in this thread no one wants a slot taken for High Elves for Alliance when Void Elves already have the customizations to pretend to be Blood Elves/High Elves.
Further than that there is no sub race option for any race currently so that’s completely irrelevant.
I’m not a fan so they could get trash canned.
That doesn’t make them actual Blood Elves/High Elves, they are still Void Elves, the quicker you and others realize that Blizzard has given you RPing options so you can pretend to be something you aren’t already, use them and the cancel aura or don’t, that’s your choice but don’t keep trying to force your High Elfer agenda on the rest of us.
There is an entire thread about high elven customization. Again, I am not the onlu one wanthing this.
And what if there is no sub race option right(although if you want to technical the nightfallen are already a psedo sub race option) doesn’t mean a new option can open up later.
Personally, I’m abivalent to them but they are now part of the lore and you cannot stop it.
Sounds to me any character if a Quel’thalasian elf considers themselves a high elf they can be. To quote Selistra:
Can a person only be a single thing? I have not found that to be true.
In fact, I have found it far more likely for one to be many things simultaneously.
You, I can tell, are far more than just a or just a .
And I am more than just a dragon. Well, I am still a drake technically…
I mute those threads so good for them I guess, keep wasting your time and others.
Never said I want to stop it, I said I’m not a fan and that they could be trashcanned, not that they should be.
Lol, I don’t care what Danuser says, he’s the reason people are happy Metzen is coming back.
Well we are slowly getting what we want. Heck, we now have void elven NPC with fair/not void elven skin. Who knows what the future hold?
While I certain don’t like certain things his done, he is still the head lore dude, and Metzen is still effectively just a consultant.
What it holds is people like you wasting another Allied Race slot potentially on Alliance side for something that already exists on the Horde side as Blood Elves and that was given to Alliance for Void Elves as RPing options so I guess cool for you and others that want to drive the Alliance more into the ground.
There’s a reason he’s coming back and it’s not because people are happy where WoW is currently so head lore person or not, he’s ruined original WoW lore which is why an original person is being paid to come back.
Why should an exception be made for one race?
Void Elves are the only race in-game that have lore written into them that would prohibit their becoming a Paladin, and the only race that would benefit from such a change.
You really think the same developers that pasted over Shadowlands covenant abilities into the class talent trees visually unchanged are going to create an entire specialized kit…for Void Elves? Keep dreaming.
Idk why are druids a thing for literally any other race but Night Elf. Why do paladins exist at all on the Horde?
Also, Forsaken exist and have been asking for paladins forever too with the shadow visuals too. If anything, a second gothic / race means it’s more plausible for both (and every other race, it’d be stupid to make it exclusive) now if they ever decide to let us customize our spell effects again.
Also, High Elves are a “subrace” for both Blood and Void Elves. It’s never going to take up an actual race slot. They are already playable.
You’re either a high elf that went void, or a high elf that went light. Or you died. There isn’t even a horse left to beat on this, they literally gave us what we asked for and it’s still never enough.
Hopefully not.
Can’t speak for the phonies but Blood Elf paladins exist specifically because of the blood elf order, the Blood Knights, because of them drawing power from the Sunwell (so Holy light) and later a captured Naaru as a race.
The BElf paladins and sunwell are so ingrained into the race’s existence it would make no sense for Belf not to have paladin (the paladin are also one of three branches of the BElf government for what it’s worth, along with the Farstriders [hunters] and Magisters [mages]).
So yeah not sure what this is all about but I saw the question about paladin on the horde and it just so happens I know the answerr for belf
You say that yet I can guarantee you that when we get High Elves that they’ll easily be one of the most populated races. Many a horde would race and faction change over to be a real High Elf as no one wanted to be a void Elf.
