Panda paladins first.
Did they say all? I recall them saying they wanted to do more but not all.
I have to agree. I just don’t think it’s realistic to expect Blizzard to add another derivative elf. That Void Elves have High Elf customization options is enough IMO.
If people want to propose stuff like an option to change how one’s racial tag is displayed I won’t argue for or against it, but I do think asking for Alliance High Elves as a separate race is, at this point, just not feasible since Void Elves exist and already have High Elf customization. Adding Alliance High Elves as a race would just end up being redundant IMO.
The Alliance High Elf fantasy can be fulfilled via Void Elves using High Elf customization, just as the Wildhammer Dwarf and Farakki Troll fantasies are fulfilled through customization options. I also think it’s silly to get hung up on Entropic Embrace’s visual. We have trinket procs with unique visuals and I don’t see anyone not using those trinkets just because they don’t like the visual. Embrace is no different IMO, and you can macro a /cancelaura to frequently used abilities to just cancel it if it bugs you that much.
As far as I’m concerned Void Elves are the Alliance High Elf option now that they have High Elf customization options.
do you know why gnomes cant be paladins. its very different reason then other classes.
they cant reach the light.
I think you’ll eventually get your wish. They’ve tossed all lore out the windows anyway so may as well.
I do believe they will add on to Void Elves limitations and as others have said the Lore of the game is on going so anything could change in to future maybe even a little help from a gnome with a Voidamatic decofublicator 6000 to extract the void right out of us
Same thing xD
They for sure make way better sense than Void Elf Paladins so I gave you a like despite not wanting them personally because I do love Pandaren Death Knights.
Nonsense.
One is a mostly non-existent meme race, and the other is a High Elf.
Read some lore.
High elves > Blood elves > Void elves.
The surviving high elves renamed themselves blood elves to remember their heritage and because of what happened. Void elves are literally blood elves that chose void powers.
Recognize a joke?
The survivors of the Fall of Quel’Thalas during the Third War renamed themselves to Blood Elves, ostensibly to honor the fallen by word, while spitting on their graves in deed. High Elves outside of Quel’Thalas at the time had no idea the name change had even happened, and most didn’t change their name. Void Elves emerged from a small faction of dissident Blood Elves whom wanted to study the void, when anyone with a brain saw that the Sunwell’s new state wasn’t very likely to play nice with that sort of magic.
So, yes. Every Void Elf is a Blood Elf is a High Elf. Every Blood Elf is a High Elf. But not every Blood Elf becomes a Void Elf, just as not every High Elf becomes a Blood Elf or Void Elf.
Recognize GD context, trolls, and rp nerds that DO make serious comments like that.
5k posts and you don’t realize that… yikes.
Majority are blood elves though so I still don’t see your point. There aren’t enough “high elves” left to form any kind of community.
There are probably way more void elves at this point than high elves.
Enough to have their own army that’s been fielded across multiple conflicts in the game’s lifetime. And that army comes from only one population of them (Dalaran), when we’ve seen more spread around in lodges.
Sorry, lorewise Void Elves are an, ‘elite squad,’ of elves, far fewer in number than the multiple squads that make up the Silver Covenant alone.
Not that numbers ever really meant anything in this game anyways.
I just want real, Alliance High Elves.
Void Elves don’t count.
Unfortunately not gonna happen.
Alliance get only the tentacle version.
You mean the COMBINED forces of the kirin tor?
Exactly. They are spread out.
There aren’t many left, and the few that are, chose to do their own thing… Or join other forces/factions.
They were void researchers and silvermoon exiles that took it to another level. Idk what “elite squad” you are talking about.
I doubt you could find any REAL actual info on that other than assumptions, but then again numbers don’t mean anything.
They got dress up options to play pretend as normal High Elves so to me that’s more than enough as it is, realistically everyone that wanted to dilute Void Elves to be a lesser version of Blood Elves/High Elves kind of ruined them ever getting normal High Elves more than likely.
Yeah, that is the participation trophy they get. They can still call themselves high elves if they want, no one cares.
This right here.
Too much QQing happened so blizz said ‘here ya go!’
Honestly I like the void elf look way more anyways.
I always go full purple elf and don’t regret it xD
