It likely will never happen.
Blizzard has rarely let more than hair style cross over, even similar colors are different per race.
Visual distinction seems to still be a goal customization wise.
Well, don’t know what to tell you.
Learn to fathom.
Other people will not always share your opinions.
You’re vastly under selling the amount of work needed to cross over much of what you’re asking for.

And yet it’s been a near constant by blizzard.
It appears they care.
Aside from obvious stuff, we don’t actually have lore saying the barbers can do some of the things they do, and it’s likely mostly just for gameplay reasons that they do some of the things they do.
Thats also clearly mostly a gameplay thing.

I can somewhat understand, but with Allied Races, that ship has sailed! Haha.
Also, the fact that players can already create characters that look exactly each other in the same races makes this angst by some posters particularly arbitrary.

It’s also hard for me to fathom people eating tide pods, but it happens. 
The art assets of hair styles and color have already been created in game… Applying to the other races and genders should be easier than create from scratch. This is a literal barely any effort by Blizzard suggestion/desire. Seems logical to me, but… 
So… even if hair styles and colors were restricted by lore, we could (should) change it for gameplay reasons? 
I’m also advocating for a gameplay option. 
Thanks for the discussion. I’m unlikely to respond further to this thread as it has failed to provide perspectives I haven’t considered, our valuation systems are different, and neither side is likely to change the opinion of the other side.

So you believe Blizzard intends to destroy the purpose of their own ARs and their individual themes to please…? Not BE fans that value visual distinction that’s for sure, so who is this you believe should be listened to again? How is that fair to listen to the same group of people multiple times?
People valuing visual distinction on BEs after losing visual distinction and receiving less then impactful new options is akin to tide pod eating to you?

Read the lore and do the VE unlocking scenario, I’m not going to waste my time trying to inform you of something that it’s obvious to anyone willing to even pay the minimal amount of attention.
Perhaps it’s because he’s seen the same kind of argument, only worded differently before, which is often used as an excuse to essentially turn Void Elves into something they’re not, only that it’s done under the guise of “Let’s give everything to everyone!”.
Granted, I don’t think the guy he’s responding to is too serious personally. But when you see enough duck walking, you eventually see a lot of ducks.

Void elves (or ren’dorei , “children of the Void” in Thalassian)[1] are a race of Void-infused elves affiliated with the Alliance. Their origins lie with a group of blood elves led by Magister Umbric who were exiled from Silvermoon City because of their research into the Void.
