Doesn’t benefit Blood Elves / BE fans for you to be allowed to replicate the visual fantasy to the fullest on a Void Elf.
It likely will never happen.
Blizzard has rarely let more than hair style cross over, even similar colors are different per race.
Visual distinction seems to still be a goal customization wise.
Well, don’t know what to tell you.
Learn to fathom.
Other people will not always share your opinions.
You’re vastly under selling the amount of work needed to cross over much of what you’re asking for.
What do you base this on?
You sound crazy to me.
Blizzard barely put effort in at all, you think expanding the scope is likely to bring results?
That would be nice I’ll grant.
And yet it’s been a near constant by blizzard.
It appears they care.
Aside from obvious stuff, we don’t actually have lore saying the barbers can do some of the things they do, and it’s likely mostly just for gameplay reasons that they do some of the things they do.
Thats also clearly mostly a gameplay thing.
You mean you don’t want to be my twin, I mean you know I’m actually against it but still I had to say it anyway.
I can somewhat understand, but with Allied Races, that ship has sailed! Haha.
Also, the fact that players can already create characters that look exactly each other in the same races makes this angst by some posters particularly arbitrary.
It likely will never happen.
Never say never bb.

It’s also hard for me to fathom people eating tide pods, but it happens.

The art assets of hair styles and color have already been created in game… Applying to the other races and genders should be easier than create from scratch. This is a literal barely any effort by Blizzard suggestion/desire. Seems logical to me, but…

So… even if hair styles and colors were restricted by lore, we could (should) change it for gameplay reasons?
Thats also clearly mostly a gameplay thing.
I’m also advocating for a gameplay option.
Thanks for the discussion. I’m unlikely to respond further to this thread as it has failed to provide perspectives I haven’t considered, our valuation systems are different, and neither side is likely to change the opinion of the other side.
Some people (me not included) don’t like the fact that two races can look this similar:
Some people need to be reminded that other than void vs fel, theyre the same race.
Some people need to be reminded that other than void vs fel, theyre the same race.
Boy, I sure love to check in again only to see a reason to start drinking heavily at 3 pm.
How am I wrong tho? Blood elves and void elves are literally the same people.
Sadly I’ve learned that it’s pointless to try to explain something that it’s as evident as my disdain for life to people that are willingly ignoring the glaring differences between the two.
I can somewhat understand, but with Allied Races, that ship has sailed! Haha.
So you believe Blizzard intends to destroy the purpose of their own ARs and their individual themes to please…? Not BE fans that value visual distinction that’s for sure, so who is this you believe should be listened to again? How is that fair to listen to the same group of people multiple times?
It’s also hard for me to fathom people eating tide pods, but it happens.
People valuing visual distinction on BEs after losing visual distinction and receiving less then impactful new options is akin to tide pod eating to you?
So to come in and be like “I want what I want for VEs for everyone” feels very on tune with trying to finesse what someone wants for VEs in a new package because what you don’t want
Is your expertise to make assumptions about people? I repeat, he is referring to all races, your brain is choosing to translate that to secretly trying to undermine your sense of uniqueness.
You say you’re not pretentious and passive aggressive yet you say things like this, on top of quoting things someone said towards me pages ago.
And no where is there taunting / name calling, so yes it is arguing in good faith, perhaps you just don’t understand that concept I will continue to hope that you do some day.
I don’t argue in good faith with you because you choose to behave like a pretentious broken record. You even try to twist other peoples words into something bad just to antagonize them.
This isn’t something that requires insults to do, feel free to continue with your awful acting though.
But hey like I said, you have your squad here to constantly <3 everything you say while waving off your crappy obvious pretentiousness while shaking their fists at me.
So you got nothin. Got it.
Blood Elves are High Elves.
Void Elves are Void Elves Thalassian with a void twist, you glow purple in combat for a reason.
Void elves are LITERALLY blood elves who got kicked out of Silvermoon for playing with the purply goodness!
Blood Elves are High Elves.
Void Elves are Void Elves Thalassian with a void twist, you glow purple in combat for a reason.
Blood elves are blood elves
High elves are high elves
Void elves are void elves
News at 11, time to stop pretending.
The fact that void elves can cross faction talk to blood elves due to them speaking Thalassian shows they are the same people.
Blood elves are blood elves
High elves are high elves
Blood Elves are High Elves.
If you want to play a (natural haired) blue eyed elf it’s on the faction that has always had them intentionally so.
Read the lore and do the VE unlocking scenario, I’m not going to waste my time trying to inform you of something that it’s obvious to anyone willing to even pay the minimal amount of attention.

Perhaps it’s because he’s seen the same kind of argument, only worded differently before, which is often used as an excuse to essentially turn Void Elves into something they’re not, only that it’s done under the guise of “Let’s give everything to everyone!”.
Granted, I don’t think the guy he’s responding to is too serious personally. But when you see enough duck walking, you eventually see a lot of ducks.
What im sensing is you just hate that the alliance got high elves.
Not that i cant see your point, but to pretend theyre different races is kinda odd.
Boy, I sure love to check in again only to see a reason to start drinking heavily at 3 pm.
Awww but I used to love our shot game until I’d be completely wasted and yelling at random people. Lol.
Read the lore
Void elves (or ren’dorei , “children of the Void” in Thalassian)[1] are a race of Void-infused elves affiliated with the Alliance. Their origins lie with a group of blood elves led by Magister Umbric who were exiled from Silvermoon City because of their research into the Void.
