I usually go with frost spec because i can slow the mobs, and take less damage. I also use a defensive legendary (triune ward). I’m doing torghast with my spriest these days, and i’m suffering ‘-’
I love doing torghast as a mage because of the clones hehe they cast a lot of cool spells.
Honestly, I wish all hair styles and all hair colors were shared amongst all races and genders. Everyone could choose what they like easily then on any race and any gender. #CustomizationForAll
I feel like if Blizzard has left visual distinction in place (being the hair) for Void Elves, since you have two visual themes and arguably shouldn’t be allowed to fulfill the visual fantasy that Blood Elves have always fulfilled, it’s kind of something I find questionable to be like “let all races have hair colors and styles!”
Because to other races it means something entirely different then getting the final piece of the visual theme you don’t have which is really what you’re asking for right? But under the umbrella of riding the coat tails of idk literally every other race.
Let’s see more Void hair options for Void Elves I support not allowing Blood Elves to be replicated to the fullest to give an AR with arguably more impactful customization than many core races got the last of the visual theme that they neither need or should have past the extent that they currently do which is RP options I hope so many are thankful for.
I don’t understand what you’re asking for here. I would enjoy further options on Vokire, yes. I would also enjoy further options on literally all of my characters of ever race. For example, there are several Kul’Tiran hair styles I would like on several characters, but I hate Kul’Tirans. I can’t see how having additional options hurts anyone. I would also like to see all beard options for all races.
Generally speaking, I want to see more customizations for all races and all genders. I don’t actually understand why, after implementing so many skin color variations (many of which somewhat retcon previous lore), we are restricting hair styles and hair colors.
I am somewhat on the fence about adding all skin color variations for all races because that becomes complicated with races such as Worgen. I can see where this would also blur the line between some allied races and core races (Draenei with Lightforged Draenei, Dark Iron Dwarves with Dwarves, Void Elf with Blood Elf, Mag’har Orcs with Orcs, Nightborne with Night Elf, Highmountain Tauren with Tauren, and Zandalari Trolls with trolls). It would be somewhat amusing to run around Stormwind as a green skinned male Human with pink hair.
I also wish they would add some physique customizations. I hate that basically every male of every race is roided to the extreme (particularly humans). Also, male NE hands are disproportionately large compared to their heads.
In general I think there could/should be more void hair options. Although, I would also say the available void styles should have non-void styles available as well.
I know what you’re thinking - he’s a heretic! You’re right - I am!
This passive aggressive nonsense is what you call arguing in good faith, this is what you call “just disagreeing”.
Did you completely missread the part that he just wants shared options for everyone?
Or do you enjoy redirecting everything towards your self-indulging theory that someone’s hair color should be limited based on Lanni’s personal sense of uniqueness?
I agree, but I would disagree when it comes to having purple humans with horns and cat ears lol.
Hair color, piercings and tattoos are definitely things I feel should be universal, as anyone could just dye their hair pink, get a piercing/tattoo.
You don’t understand the concept of visual distinction?
That VEs have two visual themes one of which is 90% of the BE visual fantasy and natural hair colors brings you to the fullest to the visual fantasy of Blood Elves.
Why do you think you should be allowed to be a copy of a BE in the fullest? Blood Elf fans who value visual distinction deserve to be heard too and you’ve already got the model and the non void skin tones.
Why would Blizzard defeat the purpose of its own AR?
It’s certainly not the way you conduct yourself which is evident to everyone.
And no where is there taunting / name calling, so yes it is arguing in good faith, perhaps you just don’t understand that concept I will continue to hope that you do some day.
A HE fan / and or someone advocating for the loss of BE visual distinction to continue has come in and said “let’s just give all races all the hair colors” is rather transparent to me and why I pointed out it seems like an attempt to ride the coat tails of other maybe less controversial additions.
Adding BE styles to NEs and vice versa doesn’t create a problem with visual distinction between a race that has the model, it’s own individual theme, and 90% of someone else’s visual fantasy.
So to come in and be like “I want what I want for VEs for everyone” feels very on tune with trying to finesse what someone wants for VEs in a new package because what you don’t want us to concentrate on is that in this scenario yes visual distinction of BEs is lost you’re just trying to package it in a “share with everyone” type argument.
I didn’t understand your question in relation to my comment. You see, I didn’t say anything about your tirade against opening up hair colors/styles to VE specifically. I didn’t restrict my request for new hair styles or colors to VE only. I said open all the hair styles and colors of all races and genders to all races and gender. That would mean even more options for BE as well. Pointless arbitrary lines in the sand (restrictions) of hair color and hair styles benefit basically no one. I feel 99% certain our characters could figure how to dye their hair and style their differently. I mean, I have a spell that can turn people into sheep. Surely some hair dye, a comb, and a pair scissors aren’t more complicated than a spell modifying the physical shape, volume, and appearance of another being to an entirely different species, right? Right?
I mean, in-game barbers can even reassign your gender, but Vokire wanting to dye his hair pink in boar tail style and all of a sudden I am the crazy one!
And what does that accomplish for VEs in your opinion?
Does what you’re advocating for take visual distinction from BEs and gift it to VEs, to me it’s doing so under the argument of trying to advocate everyone’s hair options for everyone.
What is confusing about that my asking you to elaborate on where you see VEs in your proposal?
So it’s beneficial for Blood Elves to lose all of their visual distinction now?
The benefit of drastically increased customization options for all races and genders is not exclusive to VE. It’s literally a benefit all players to have more options. It’s literally hard for me to fathom opposition to this. There would likely be little work since the art assets are already in game and would only need to be fitted to each race/gender.
I literally don’t care about hair color or hair style being a defining characteristic of being with magical powers to change beings around them to entirely different species. Your argument has a super weak leg to stand on. I only commented on this thread because it happened to be a thread discussing customization options regarding hair styles and hair colors. If people would advocate for all art assets to be used, we would be more likely to obtain such customization options.
Because that’s not what I said and isn’t relevant to me or my argument. You seem to be under the assumption that I want my character to look exactly like yours (which is false). Having more customizations for all reduces likelihood of running into another character that looks like yours. I also advocated for even more customizations for all races and genders (physique sliders and, maybe, skin colors). Actually, even more customization sliders besides just physique would be wonderful (think MetaHuman Creator level), but I believe challenging based off of WoW’s engine.
It’s beneficial to increase customizations options for all races and genders. Hair color and hair style shouldn’t be defining characteristics of any race in a magic game with sex/gender reassigning barbers, interdimensional travel, time travel, ability to literally create food/water, summon beings from other realms, turn souls into weapons, and store hundreds/thousands of pounds of items in a lightweight backpack.
If your only response to me will be that you want races and genders to continue to be hamstrung by arbitrary customization options that have little logical basis, there is little reason for you to respond. You won’t change my mind on this particular issue (especially circling the same tired argument). We will have to agree to disagree and try not to waste each other’s time further.
What can I say? I’m eccentric bb.
The hundreds, the thousands, the tens of thousands, the hundreds of thousands, the millions of murders changed me.
Some people (me not included) don’t like the fact that two races can look this similar:
If void elves are given blood elf hair styles and colours, the two will be able to look literally identical. Some people don’t want two completely separate races to be able to look completely identical.
