Void elves are high elves, if you want to play blue eyed true high elves, it’s on the faction that they belong to.
Wow look I can exasperate too, that wasn’t hard.

I haven’t gotten a wink of sleep today, so I might as well be drunk.
Also, it explains the extra grumpiness.
You don’t argue in good faith with anyone who doesn’t support more HE options, previously before this VE compromise it was anyone who didn’t support Alliance HEs.
Villainizing people who argue in good faith while you do what you do doesn’t make the opposition villains.
They certainly have RP tools.
Different lore, different narrative that took a different road.
And you lack the full visual theme intentionally
You can also type in a character name in the search bar and type the word High Elf (or any key word pertaining to a topic) to see their past comments on the specific issue if I was curious if they had an angle with their current view based off a past view.
We don’t even need the colors IMO, just do black and white (don’t know why we don’t have a black option already). Also just fix the male VElf hairstyles, I don’t think anyone wants a hairstyle with the receding hairline of a 60 year old man.
One thing I can support for both is better beards for males.
Or they could add 60 year old faces to match.
That really sucks but I’m still glad you are here, then I’ll take having you here whether you are grumpy or not so I guess that’s just personal preference of the people I really like.
LMFAO! Nightborne already have that, really badly.
So this here is your explanation to your own question as to why they aren’t the same and it isn’t the same as honoring your people with a new name.
I prefer to work within more realistic realms of possibility.
That said I’m not wholly against more crossover.
While I personally do value the distinction between races I also see many areas where cross over is possible, but at this point I find it unlikely.
I have issues calling others opinions that hold as much water as my own as the “wrong” opinion.
There are no rights or wrongs here.
You’re not much into character asset design are you?
It’s true it might not be as hard to start with current assets or it might be just as hard. They’ll still have to resize them, maybe adjust textures. Not to mention changing programming related things that will likely take time.
My current level of understanding makes me think that copying and pasting is not as simple a process as most think.
Actually with what I said we’d in theory be able to do that for lore reasons…
You know hair dye and such.
While I’m not really for that, again as I do enjoy visual distinction, that really isn’t a thing barbers wouldn’t likely be able to do.
It’s the changing of things like gender and druid forms, horn placement and type. Those I haven’t seen a lore reason for, and are likely for gameplay.
(though I’d love it if blizzard did write it obviously into lore.)
Also don’t put words in people’s mouths.
Farewell.
I won’t miss your presumptive attitude but it was nice speaking.
You should read up on the lore.
You appear to be misunderstanding some things.
If all races share everything… That will hurts blood elves visual uniqueness…
Not really surprising Lann is against that.
Making the encompassing change larger will still have the same problem for those who want blood elves to remain unique…
High and blood elves are the same thing with a political difference.
Blood/high elves and void elves are not the game thing anymore. And they have a political difference.
I would love both of those.
Fun fact our npcs have an unfinished black already.
Nice ignoring of the truth. You cant argue the actual point so you ignore it completely.
You’re in the right path, now keep reading down the article, specifically the part where it says:
Durzaan immediately began a spell to capture and corrupt Umbric and his followers, binding them in an attempt to transform the elves into creatures of the void.
For someone who wants to call someone else for not arguing in good faith, you sure are being quite disingenuous.
I don’t know, I don’t even like myself while grumpy, heh.
Wrong.
Here you go again predictably trying to act like this isn’t specifically about you.
Don’t you ever wonder why I’m always specifically attacking you Lann? Your friends only make themselves part of it when shaking their fists at me. But every bad thing I say is directed towards you.
The only one I ever initially address is you because of your tiresome obvious pretentious behavior towards pretty much everyone outside of your circle.
Once again, ignoring the actual part that says " Their origins lie with a group of blood elves led by Magister Umbric who were exiled from Silvermoon City because of their research into the Void."
But keep pretending youre right. Its cute.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, it’s what we call “Living in someone’s head rent free”.
Grats Lann, you’ve finally hit that point.
I feel like you missed or conveniently ignored a large portion of the things he’s said, though this doesn’t surprise me coming from you.
Moving on
It’s actually not you did the same thing to anyone arguing against alliance HEs in the past same villainizing narrative.
Yet the way you argue and the way I argue are evident for all to see, at best you can not like the way I write my posts but it isn’t the same, and that’s partly why I think it bothers you. If someone posts in bad faith and you’re not I guess it would bother me too if someone I was trying to make look bad wasn’t giving me more ammo all I had was my perception of their tone and my dislike of their stance.
This is what they were.
They are now Void Elves.
They are no longer high elves the same way blood elves are.
Literally a high elf and a blood elf have one difference.
The name.
Same race and people.
Void elves are void infused elves. They bleed blue blood, often have tentacles and blue skin.
They are not a 1:1 high elf.
