All I’m going to say is that it doesn’t look black on every hairstyle to me, either. It’s a bit too desaturated on some of them. I’d call it a dark dark green or teal, myself.
But that’s just my eyeholes.

The above picture certainly drives home the point of why so many call it black, consider it a shade of black, or view VEs as having a black hair option.

As I’ve said, I’m not arguing with perceptions. My statement was based on basic color theory knowledge when mixing pigment is involved.

I’d say it’s too saturated to be black on those styles, rather than being desaturated. The colours look too vivid on some of the styles, especially the half shaved one.

Maybe it’s just my monitor or settings, but ALL the colors are odd in that shot.
That doesn’t change the fact it’s a variation of black but your own perception and commentary is interesting.

I still consider it blue black like I said yesterday, I get people still want the jet black color and I’m not arguing against it, I just wish they’d acknowledge that it is a shade of black just not black, black.

I still think it depends on style. It’s really bright on that half shaved style.

Oh I agree but that happens with most hair colors both in game, it’s not just a Void Elf thing.

Humans are a big victim of this. They can’t have white hair unless they use the new SL styles. On the old styles the colour is quite grey. Even their DK version isn’t very white on the old styles.

Yeah. TL3 is a pain to maintain, especially on multiple characters for those of us that don’t get it account wide.

Going by the color selector in the character creation it is teal.
In some lighting/hair style combos it can look black but it is not a true black. Just dark.
My hair is supposed to be red.

I know right, my Human Warlock uses the blue color that we got from Death Knights but it looks black with my chosen hairstyle. Lol. 
I know right, it’s crazy how fast they go but for me 2 hours is literally a new record of running out, it’s like fine then Blizzard sue me for liking so much stuff. Lol.

It’s a Void Black / Blue Black for sure.
Whether that is the only black option VEs get is another thing, the other requested version of black may be to some peoples liking where this current option isn’t, on a strictly visual distinction argument though I can see why it wouldn’t be added though I do support that specific addition on the grounds it works for the Void theme, but I would understand both sides of that in regards to that specific color.

Also this, then again with what Blizzard already said about character customizations I sometimes feel we are all wasting our time asking for anything and I really hate saying that but it’s totally legit and that makes me sad.

That’s pure black, many off-blacks and shades of black have different hues and mixtures of colours. Ebony here is noticeably green and yet, it’s a black.
Just because that hair has a noticeable teal hue doesn’t mean it is no longer a black.
