Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

Yellow is not, in fact, mellow.

Don’t ask how I know this, but it also does not taste like butter.

Speaking of, I found out last night that eating an entire stick of butter will make you throw up.

And no, I will not go into more specifics.

I’m here almost every day and most people that do post even that are against natural hair colors say they are okay with black and white, I go off what I see and what I read and that’s fine you aren’t just like Mag isn’t, I don’t tend to hate on people for what they say or think in these threads.

When using art/terminology and color theory associated with paint, black is absolutely a color; it’s all colors in equal amounts. A shade is any color with the addition of black to darken it. The above hair color in debate is a shade of teal.

Color theory was not something I expected to find here but it’s interesting.

I remember painting in high school and my professor had me make black by making a really really deep purple. He said it made the black more vibrant. I agree.

Is a black option on Void Elves, it’s a Void black or a blue black, there’s nothing wrong with that.

I think the concept that you have to argue from a place of not having a black color option to get the color variation you want isn’t needed.

Blood Elves didn’t have pure black for years. Years. Void Elves have a darker black in their 2 years of creation than we had in like 15 of ours.

I think Starla pointed out she always saw that option as a black too and I agreed with her, the newer jet black shade of black doesn’t make that not another option of black they just are both different.

The new belf one is very very dark brown, not black.

I’d use it on Lannistealth here but I was going for that High Elf look everyone talks about

I changed Lannisterians hair to what ever seems the brownish reddish color lol

I see where you’re coming from. My eyes have always seen it as more purple. I’m glad to have both options now

Being able to mix and match eye colors would be nice too.

Player agency allows us to say a character draws on the light of the Sunwell or restore our eyes to blue / a HE returning to Quel’thalas after being neutral or Alliance affiliated.

But what if you want your character to show the transition, from green to gold, or gold and blue.

You are free to believe and claim the discussed color is black if you would like to. I’m not going to argue with perception and themes. On the basis of color theory though, it is indeed not black but a shade of a teal. Shades can appear almost black.
