Oh Jeez, will you please stop it with that? No it doesn’t. The base story mostly revolves around Alleria with saving Umbric and his followers and with Alleria in the Seat of the Triumvirate. That is it. There is no further story with the Void Elves. These customisations will have no effect on the story of the Void Elves.

Never have I seen such a generation of pettiness on these forums as what the Allied Races have seemingly brought out. So many people who seem to come to these forums with their only mission being to try and make sure people don’t get the things they want to see or like in the game, people who will make up absurd accusations and logical fallacies, constantly move their argument goal posts, and then devolve into kicking and screaming when inevitably they didn’t get their way and couldn’t stop those people from getting the things they have passionately asked for.

Void Elves and their RICH lore/backstory. A shame it’s being washed away! All 5 seconds of it. 
They are a race that was pulled out of nowhere with no buildup. Even the reputation faction they’re tied behind has absolutely nothing to do with them.
And on top of it they did nothing when we had a patch involving N’zoth. I do find it silly when some act like this is some massive destruction of “Void Elf lore” despite the fact they have almost non to begin with.

Can you point to where it says that? I remember him being in charge of the exiles but she was in charge of them once they joined the Alliance. Happy to be wrong, but she is still a void elf with natural skin and hair colors.

They are co leaders and its been labeled that way for few years in BFA and has not been touched in wowpedia.
And Umbric does not say “I will lead the Void Elves in stead of Alleria.” He requests Alleria to teach the new ones to how to control the void by working together.

To be fair, Chinese WoW version has no bones showing and removed jaw removed face. So it isn’t too hard to just copy paste it over.

One of the problems with void elves is that there’s not a lot there for story, so it becomes way too easy for people to project their desires and biases on what there is.
Of course, Bliz could fix this problem by expanding on the void elf story, but so far they’ve been reluctant to. And the problem is compounded by the way the chain to unlock void elves doesn’t have anything to get to know them as a people, and is instead about the Broken and Alleria.

Sooooo excited about the new hair for VEs! All that is left to have my perfect toon is blizzard open up DHs to VEs …( and to balance it then also NB to DHs for horde)
Not so excited about the people trying to rain all over this parade, I really hope blizzard don’t back down on the natural hair or taint it with void colours to appease them.
They seem to focus on the VOID only in VOID ELVES and forget void is only half of what they are, above all else they are elves and most elves have at least SOME natural hair

I like where this is going.
I wouldn’t expect Blizzard to do so. Most companies once something is announced they’re already all in.
Also I can’t imagine even Blizzard saying “5 new natural hair colors for void elves” and still managing to mess up the meaning.

I can because it will still have tentacles in it unless you use one of the non-tentacle hairstyles.
They didn’t include anything about tentacles. Not part of the deal so that wouldn’t “mess it up”.
Though I expect folk are going to be riled up to get that now… you all know my feel on that. I think it is a void based option that just happens to be useful to helf pros.
