Does it?
It was an opportunity where we had a number of elven races, and we could tie it back to their roots
Or is it actually taking about both Blood and Void Elves?

Iâm not saying itâs exclusive, but the phrasing does in fact support blood elves getting blue eyes back among other things.
I didnât do much with BFAâŠ
But I did get two alpacas.
Yeah, for âRole-playingâ purposes. Same argument used to us proâs is being used against the Antiâs.
For hairstyles, I honestly have wanted some hairs that Draenei females had with the short cuts and curl shorts, looking a bit more tomboyish.
I never really was interested in lot of Blood Elf hairs, but that one hairstyle interests me and that was exactly the same from the Humans back in Vanilla-before WoD time. Long hair with sharp cuts.
Okay, so since you and I think Cal kept pushing this I went to go check the Cdev 2 and 3 (both have the initial information about Blood Elf eyes changeing over time) and the later information about golden eyes.
neither of those things contradict one another, though I will grant you the specific color of blue is not said.
In the Cdev ones it simply says their eyes will eventually lose the green hue now that the Sunwell has been restored and the Blood Elves no longer require Fel crystals to power their home.
The Gold eyes one rather clearly states that some blood elves will have their eyes go golden due to the new Sunwell but that they are the ones who are faithful and using the Light regularly. Golden eyes were provided for everyone because Blizzard didnât want to limit customization options to certain classes. (they state this as well)
Together both indicate that the faithful will go gold over time, and the non-faithful will return to what they were previously. So⊠blue. (Or I suppose some other color if they get real into something else?)
If you want to get really technical temporary eye color changes can also occur when taking in or affected by strong magical sources.
Valeeraâs eyes turning purple at one point for instance.
Further about Elyâs comment here:
While I agree the statement is meant to indicate that yes, high elf options allow both blood elves and void elves to rp that concept, Blood Elves actually already have blue eyed members. Whether thats cause of the Sunwell or not, theyâre very definitely canon.
Void Elves on the other hand have no current canon members with natural skin tones. (or purple eyes for that matter).
(Alleria is unique in the canon at the moment.)
Now, Iâm going to say this again, as I often do.
I want them to explain the skin tones by adding lore to the game showing new void elves being made from those whoâve come to study. Going through some sort of process to become full void elves and coming out the other end with a randomized range of customizations taken from Void Elves current and future options.
I want that cause it effectively ends any uncertainty and clarifies that all of this is canon without having people need to dig for it.
I donât care if folk want to rp their high elves. I also donât care if they want to rp their void elves as having natural skin tones. (I meanâŠFenelonâŠright hereâŠ)
I do care when people needlessly try to bend the lore to fit their means⊠I also understand that you both donât think youâre doing that AND that you think Iâm doing that.
Thats fine. We all have opinions and subjective views on things like that.
Thank you though for having me review the material it had been a long time and again Iâll concede blue was never specifically said.
(also thanks to Tarrok and Zandrae for assisting me in finding where that info was again.)
That is not a bad idea.
I think some of the Kulâtiran hair styles are pretty neat too. Limited but neat.
Is this the thread where I go to talk about stealing customization from every other race in the game? I thought I remember about a year ago the high elf crowd said once they get their natural hair colors that will complete the copy/paste elf. Now I look and see some âIâd love this hairstyle from human females and this one from draenei females.â Why donât you guys just go play The Sims 4?
Costs too much. Have you seen how many expansions they have now? oof.
lol
(this is a joke I am not being serious⊠youâd think I wouldnât have to say thatâŠbut here we are.)
I want your hair. Let me shave it off you.
Fine but you have to give me your skin.
Yesss this works this will work
I am⊠Concerned.
Whatâs the issue here? Is natural that people will always want more options for their characters, i see nothing wrong with that, they even asked our feedback on customizations. My issue is when people donât get what they want and proceed to bully wow devs.
It damages the immersion of VE given the story they currently have as a forcefully transformed race. There should be no such thing as a natural void elf. Not like there will be if they keep the tentacles and edit existing hairstyles to have tendrils on ânaturalâ hair colors.
This is not correct, blood elves did have blue eyes since cata (ratchet ones did) and they where slated to have blue eyes return since wrath as they become purified.
No they did not, light worship didnât start till mid BC, and even then it is still not mainstream for BEâs
The raceâs leader is Alleria, a Void Elf that has natural blonde hair and natural pale skin.
Sure, but shes unique right now. Until they add some lore to explain how we get new void elves. Personally I donât think you need to fall back on Alleria to request it either way.
Moot in the end. At the very least, lore or not, you now have access to both natural hair and skin.
Alleria is not the races leader⊠that title goes to umbric.
Alleria is very much so the racial leader of the void elves. Umbric is high up, maybe an equal, but definitely not a superior to Alleria.
I was simply responding to his claim that Natural Void Elves donât and shouldnât exist.
It really doesnât matter, just let people have the option, who cares.
