We could argue the one of the red hair colors is kinda pinkish already (just not pink/pink).
Not sure about the magical effect tbqh, that´s more a Nightborne thing.
If pink et al are on the table I rather get my pink Tauren tbqh. Free the color scale for all races, why only some races should get the benefit? (I´m not “anti customization”, I´m “anti laziness”… as long as the implementations show work commitment, I have no deal against them).
This is just more laziness man… let the races get the whole color scale BUT let them have their own tones and perks and unique design.
I´m not interested in giving more venues to this company so they device new ways to cut in the effort department. Between getting the awful Nelf l nelf tones (sorry, they don´t match quite well with the NB model) and getting my own thing, I´ll always pick option 2.
I mean, fair is fair… if the Velves will become the “we have access to all color scales” then me thinks ALL races should be able to enjoy this, not just them.
Heck , already in progress dude. Races that had no lore basis to get “jewerly” got it .
Though personally I don´t like to give so much value to jewerly cause let´s be honest, 9 out of 10 times it end ups becoming a hurdle and a nuisance to match the tmogs (and 6 out of 10 times the jewerly don´t make sense narratively wise for some classes… why would my rogue put on her body something that can facilitate her hurting herself, duh?).
Out of all of the whole arguments we had, this I actually agree with you. It’s pretty stupid standard point that certain races get most colors and other race doesn’t.
I would definitely support the idea that Taurens, Goblins, Dwarves, Gnomes etc get all color palettes and have them dye however player wants it. It should have never been gating players to do as they please in customization.
And honestly I’d love to see pink hair and a bit more mixed two hair colors for Void Elves and Blood Elves in the future like how FF14 did it.
Well if we’re talking anti laziness here, giving everyone the ability to choose any hair color should be something to aim for as well as visible models for all necklaces and rings.
I mean their name is “Void” elves. I would rather make them more void corrupted if anything else and not discount blood elves with tentacles in their hair and a void phase.
Hehehehe… maybe in the next decade IF the game actually survives their current work culture you can get those.
nuBlizz only catters to the least effort (and I´m not talking only about customizations, I´m talking gameplay AND story too here -I mean game went from “story of x races” to “story of Blanduin and Sylvie”; people complained Blizz never invested in updating other capitols, their solution? To erase capitols and centralize even more the gameplay in Stormwind / Orgrimmar and so on…-), so don´t hold your breath.
Even aside from the much more significant lawsuit against them, I’ll need a lot more before I really trust this is anything more than a grab for likes.

But the customizations coming in 9.1.5 feel small and we’ve all been burned so much before. I just don’t trust.

I play a Blood Elf and a Void Elf, and I don’t plan to use the new hair colors, but I’m happy for those who do.
I want to see what we’re getting before I resubscribe. Or hear some more dedication to change in the company.
Or, honestly, just to feel like playing WoW.
By definition, any “natural” hair is going to take a bit of effort, as previously discussed, because with the void elf textures/styles, it can’t be a copy paste. Unlike skin tones.
I’ll feel a lot better if the color is ported over from something other than blood elves or entirely unique. My real weathervane is going to be whether they put real effort into Lightforged and Nightborn… and if they make some noise about keeping it up.

Personally, I’m hoping for some colors that can work for void or high elf looks. Deep black, white, a brighter silver… maybe some colorful streaks in a brunette or dark blond. It’ll be interesting.
Tell me about it, I´ve been complaining over Blizz laziness since Legion (I mean they trashed the lore just to put everybody under the “Dalaran is the gameplay lag black hole of always”, really?). I have like no hope nor much less optimism in regards to actual work to be done (and after the lore revelations of SL, yup, Nelf customization pass was nothing but the devs trying to bribe that portion of the playerbase, cause they knew they were gonna kick them in the nuts narratively speaking).
I´m indifferent to the Helfers as long as they FINALLY stop trying to attach their fav to my fav race (they can get whatever they want as long as they stop obssesing with involving the Belves in their stuff, period).
It may come as a shock, but people don´t play this game for story only or Barbie minigame only… most players stay logged (even “unsuscribed” a.k.a. token mode) to actually share with their irl friends.
Doubt so. As I´ve said several times, this would involve actual commitment. And goes against their “work policy” (or 5 secs ago work policy in the wake of the lawsuit… and issues of this caliber don´t get fixed in a year or two, those take a long time to get truly fixed).
They decided to give more attention to the Nightfae pact customization stuff dude instead of improving in the actual lackluster customization for ALL… unless it´s terribly linked to the gameplay of those hypothetical void expansions, this probably won´t happen.
The customisations even introduced at the the start of SL felt small. We really can’t trust it to be all of a lot when they act like it is then give us a handful of stuff.
