Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

It’s not hard to add soulshape models. They will probably add existing creatures.

big brain kool aid quality accusation really.

too much -certain- protein shake drinking.

IMO, it’s an issue of assets. If anything has been proved with the “HE customizations” its that’s far more easy to use already existing assets and apply them on another race; all the HE stuff VE’s have gotten has been BE reused assets -except for 3 VE eye colors-

Okay, but this is not a negative necessarily; it’s about efficiency. So hear me out: Amani Trolls as an expanded customization on Zandalari. They have the bulk, they have the size; all that would truly be needed was a new posture named “tribal” -making reference that is a Zandalari citizen from the trol tribes- and expanded skin tones as other races are getting.

It gets even better when you realize the top posters in this thread are people trying to gatekeep customization. Over half a thousand posts of gatekeeping is a really big hyperfixation and unhealthy obsession.

Sigh.
Having a different opinion isn’t ‘gatekeeping’.

I don’t think Amani should be a zandalari customization. It should be regular trollsince they are represented by the regular troll model. Just throw in something about the darkspear accepting refugees from other tribes and there you go.

Well, you were arguing against the inclusion of something others wanted.

Me saying I disagree doesn’t mean I’m ‘gatekeeping’.

Were helfers disagreeing with Blood Elves getting blue eyes gatekeeping?

And everyone happy about this is happy about other people being denied something they wanted.

This is extremely ironic considering you’re going on every thread and saying “No, goth elves only belong to the alliance, they shouldn’t get dark themes, they should get light themes because I said so”.

Like… it’s baffling how you say this here, and yet tell people who want dark themes like Dark Rangers/San’layn ‘no because void elves’ when in the same breath, begging for vanilla elves/blood elf stuff on the Alliance. Which you got.

Personally, I don’t care, good for people who wanted this. I’m entirely apathetic to either argument. But don’t start gatekeeping yourself when you say this nonsense here. Come on now.

So… who’s gatekeeping what now? You got your high elves, I don’t think anyone here has a right to be like “WELL THIS IS OUR THEME NOW! DARK ELVES ARE OUR THEME!” when you all have been begging for normal hair colors to get away from the dark theme.

I guess if you consider being denied denying an act of denial.

Nonsense I’m not gatekeeping I’m just…“having an opinion”

Now we both know that’s not true.

Really? Go ahead, quote me where I said “Void elves shouldn’t get blonde hair/normal hair colors”. I’ll be waiting.

It’s fine to have an opinion, but also fine for me to point out you’re gatekeeping in the exact same way you yelled at people against this idea.

Hey, if you want dark rangers, you have my blessing for what little it’s worth.

Nonsense it’s as Starla said I’m just having an opinion, it’s not gatekeeping at all. By void elves being on the alliance it’s a simple fact that the Alliance gets the dark elf theme while blood elves get the Light elf theme.

I can’t believe it actually happened!

Thanks. Really hoping to get that as an Allied Race or options on blood elves, vampire themes too. Here’s to hoping, at least.

Unlike what some posters imply, I haven’t been against void elves getting hair colors. I haven’t spoken for or against it – in fact… I really wanted hair STYLE exchanges on both ends. Which we didn’t end up getting, but meh.

We’re denied our preferences, we’ve lost more and more uniqueness, the AR has a much wider range of options than the original. It’s all just differing opinions, and it’s kind of a weak troll to keep pretending one is right and the other is wrong.

Right, that’s entirely headcanon, not to mention Dark Rangers & San’layn existing LONG before void elves. “Dark” isn’t a theme. You get VOID. That’s it.

Also, by your logic, blood elves shouldn’t get light – because that’s covered by Lightforged draenei. So what is it then? Either blood elves get the ‘alliance theme’ of LIGHT, from LFD, or they get their own UNDEAD Theme, which guess what… isn’t void.

Your argument will always be ridiculous, I’m done here. You can try to push ‘light themes’ onto blood elves all you want, but the ‘dark elves belong to the alliance’ is ridiculous especially since you folks have been begging for ‘normal non-dark elves’ for gods knows how long.

They aren’t elves. Since TBC blizzard has kept with certain themes. Like blood elves getting paladins and being the only elf that can be paladin. And Night elves having druid and being the only elf that can be a druid. Alliance has a right to the darker themes.
